Don’t go here unless you are hungry. It was lunch so I had a brisket sandwich & okra. I wanted to try some ribs but did not see a two meat combo. Great food and service.

Small town delecious bbq place. The food here is soooooo good & worth the drive to. The people there are down home & kind. They make sure you have everything that you need.
The pulled pork sandwich, fries and slaw were delicious. My husband got the brisket salad and really enjoyed that as well. The staff are very friendly. Definitely a nice place to stop if you’re in Ozark.

Amazingly great food we come from New Mexico just to eat here
And I do try to be fair but this wasn’t a good experience. We didn’t have high expectations or anything but we were both pretty disappointed.
Do not order the fried green tomatoes!! There’s no description on the menu so in my mind it was going to be a few breaded slices of slightly thick green tomato. What they serve though is bought frozen and about the size of a fried pickle. They have thinly sliced pieces of green tomato inside.
Basically you’re eating fried batter and breading with something green inside.
We ordered the sweet potato fries. There’s no mention on the menu that they put sugar on them after they cook them and we weren’t expecting that. We were unable to eat them.
I didn’t complain. The waitress did ask me about the fried green tomatoes and I told her that they were like eating fried breading and not what I thought I was getting. She understood exactly what I meant but didn’t offer to make any adjustments to the bill. For the record I did eat one of the approximate 12 pieces. I’m sure she noticed we didn’t eat the fries either but she didn’t ask. Again we didn’t want to make a deal of it.
I would have offered the customers at least something so they don’t feel screwed if they didn’t eat their food. I don’t want that but that seems like the right thing to do if it’s clear they didn’t receive what they expected.
But the meat itself was delicious.
And yes we paid the full bill and tipped the waitress.

Ordered Baked potato with brisket...it was ok, not a standout, and came with vinegar based cole slaw, not tasty. Brisket plate with onion rings and fries...Brisket was good. Sausage plate with fried okra and fries...sausage was like a tasteless hot dog, okra great but fries salty. Chopped pork plate with sweet potato fries and corn on cob...pork dry, sweet potato fries ok. Macaroni and cheese is a Sysco food item, not made in-house. I asked about potato salad, but it didn't sound like the mayo based salad I like!

Food wasn't as good as I remember. I know the sauce was different. The ribs were definitely not as good. The price was in my opinion was too high. Spent over 50 dollars. Will not make a special trip to eat here again.
