We had a party of 9 and stopped in for a late lunch after a day of swimming. 4 adults and 5 hungry teenagers and Randy whipped up a 5 star lunch for all of us. The food was phenomenal and because he was cooking alone, I was even more surprised that everything was brought out at the same time and perfectly hot! He is a master at his craft. We left full from the delicious lunch and fantastic chocolate pie that we finished off. Randy visited with us, for a while and the conversation was just as good as the food. 10/10 would absolutely come back and recommend to anyone in the area! Thanks Randy!

Randy is a culinary genius!!! I typically let him serve me whatever he deems best every time I visit! The key lime pie is out of this world! His combos usually have a little bit of the best of everything.

Hidden gem with lots of vegetarian options. Must try

A coworker recommended the Catalpa Cafe stating that Randy cooks some of the most amazing food he's EVER had. So, we made the drive yesterday from the LR area and Randy did not disappoint! We had the Barnyard burger and the Juicy Lucy and both said they were the best burgers in our recollection. Onion rings and fries were perfection too! We got pie to go since we were absolutely stuffed. The pies were both amazing as well! It's crazy how awesome everything was. Randy's pride is his menu/food is loud and clear.. We will definitely make that drive again!

Bacon and Bleu burger was excellent. Key lime pie dessert was a joy too

We took a drive Saturday looking for Catalpa Cafe. It’s an unassuming place that had great hamburgers and Philly steak sandwich! We topped it off with some good ol coconut crème pie. The owner is friendly and you feel like you just visited family when you leave the place. We had a great Saturday adventure finding him. If you get up that way or even if you go out of your way, find Catalpa Cafe! It won’t disappoint you!

Stopped by my first time on 2/10/24. Food was absolutely delicious, best burger ive ever had! Super nice folks! Will be back very soon!

What a great place!!! We had the best cheeseburger I have had in ages!!! Flavorful large beef patty cooked almost crisp for that rich meat flavor. HOMEMADE FRIES! Lots of them!!! The wait staff was so cheerful, back often for refills. Cherry pie hot out of the oven. The atmosphere is down-home, historic building. We drove 90 miles for lunch there - worth the drive.

We loved this place. My cousin and I stopped and had the special which was Street Tacos then a piece of pie each. From now on out I will drive right by the burger joint down the road. This is my new go to.

One man show restaurant in the middle of the forest. He accomodated out group of 16. Got all of our food out at the same time, hot, and no errors. Fantastic
