Stopped in and grabbed 2 catfish dinners to go. Had tried barbq before which was very good, had a taste for catfish tonight. The catfish dinners were fantastic!!! Large crispy fillets and delicious sides! 5 ?

Came down to the little red River for a few days and decided to get some BBQ. My wife got the brisket. Which was very tender and favorable. I got the pulled pork with the slaw on the side. We also got a side order of slaw and beans. I'm glad we got extra slaw. It was delicious. It's a sweet vinegary slaw, which I love. Reminds me of KFC Cole slaw. The beans looked like they came from a can which they doctored up. They weren't bad. They had a special taste that I liked. The pulled pork was good, but I didn't care for the sauce. It's kind of tangy. The main reason I gave it a4. However, the homemade coconut creme pie was outstanding. All in all maybe strong 3+.

Catfish was awful. Didn't even taste like catfish. My daughter thought she'd be safe with a cheeseburger but it was yucky she said. Staff no better. Our server didn't smile once. Acted as if she was mad about having to work. Floor sticky, table sticky, condiment containers on table sticky.

Without a Doubt some of the worst BBQ I have ever had. All I heard was how great this place was. We ordered take out , Pulled pork sandwich and Brisket dinner. The pulled pork was Dry and no flavor. The so called Cole slaw was chopped so fine , it had no taste. The sauce was on the side in little cups . You either just dumped the cup in the sandwich or try to dip it in the small cup. Over all I will never go back there. Drive to Sercey and go to Whole Hog BBQ, much better.

This place is a very unique building and you get the Smokey smell as you walk in its a classic bbq joint feel. The food is very good and they have great jug burgers

So I had high hopes for this place and since I was in town working I figured i would give it a try. I choose the BBQ pork chop special with side salad and baked beans. Let's start with the tiny salad... it was the best thing in the plate and still wasn't that good. Next we have the baked beans. They tasted like they came straight out of the can and nothing else was done to them. I had their baked beans in the last and was impressed with them. These were not the beans I remembered. Last and but not least... the BBQ pork chop special... waitress told me it was really good and so I was like let's give it a try. It looked appetizing when She brought my food. But the pork chop was way over cooked and rubbery. I was really disappointed with it. Maybe next time I will just get a burger if there is a next time. I am really skeptical on how this place has 4.5 stars..

I'll give it 4 stars cause it is the only place near by. Food is good though! My cheeseburger was great. Fries were crisp. BBQ sauce tasted extremely familiar which makes me think it isn't home made, but even if it is it's still a good flavor. Not a bad stop and will definitely come back if I am this direction.

We travel back and forth between Little Rock and the Little Red River where we have a cabin. We noticed all the cars at Southern Girls years ago before their fire. It was a small diner with great BBQ and Plate Lunches. Pangburn is a small town and the number of people eating at Southern Girls exceeds the population. In short, customers drive for miles around to eat there. Highly recommend their BBQ but also try the fried Catfish. Their pies are homemade and the chocolate and coconut have 2 inch thick meringues on top. We always get several pieces to go for the weekend.

I've tried it a couple of times to make sure it wasn't just one bad experience. I've gotten sick both times I ate there, stay away from this place.

Pretty good stuff for being in the middle of nowhere. The brisket and ribs were tender. BBQ sauce is tangy. Sides were ok... probably premade and brought on the truck. My friend loved his bbq sandwich. Pie was decent but not great. I'd like to come back to try the patty melt.

Ribs are my favorite but my husband loves the pulled pork plate. Ask ab their homemade pies and desserts. They made the BEST strawberry cake for a friend's birthday. Also, we love the okra and onion rings!!!
