The best place for breakfast! I will die on the hill that no one can make better donuts than Battens. I love this place with my whole heart and have since I was a kid. It was a great day when you woke up and mom decided to go get battens donuts and chocolate milk.

Can't say enough about this place! What a legend they are in not just their community, but the whole area of NE Arkansas! Best advice...GET THERE EARLY!!! Just like any bakery worth a hoot, they will sell out every single day. The only hours you need to concern yourself with are the hour in which they open. They will sell out before the closing time so don't bet on showing up at 11am and them having everything you want. This is not a knock on them at all, but a tip of the cap for being so dang good! What to order...EVERYTHING! I haven't had a single item on their menu or in the glass case that wasn't awesome. They do have seating, so you don't have to get it to-go. There isn't a ton of seats, but just enough. Its usually quite and peaceful inside w/some folks getting started on their workday, and some just enjoying nice conversations w/a guest. The staff is running like crazy trying to keep up w/the drive thru window, the customers at the counter, and getting stuff from the kitchen. Be patient & kind, because they get to every customer as quick as they can. We love this place and really wish we had more opportunity to get by their more often.

I'm not even from Arkansas (Connecticut lady here) and this place has the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I was thinking about their sausage egg and cheese sandwich that I had literally a week ago and I felt like I needed to came back and give Batten's a five start review. Their donuts and coffee are pretty top notch as well. Can't wait to come back to Arkansas and get more Batten's ?❤️

They were sold out of fried pies so I got a cinnamon roll, biscuits and gravy. I thought it would be from scratch but the gravy was a mix and biscuits not so good. Cinnamon roll was really greasy. On the plus side I've had the fried pies before and they were good.
