El Sol Méxican Restaurant

When you eat at El Sol, make sure you check for hair in your food, or under it. I ate there 2-16-24. When I got to the bottom of some lettuce and tomatoes, there was a strand of hair on the plate and it was clearly not mine or the lady next to me. When I reported it to the server, I was told the hair was clean!!! The hair should never had been there—clean or not! The manager’s solution was to offer a discount on my food! That was my last visit to El Sol. Seriously, check your food!!!

I live in Minneapolis now but grew up in Pine Bluff. El Sol is still the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had. Every time I come home, I HAVE to have it. Prices are cheap, food is phenomenal, and the service is incredible. If you’re stopping in Pine Bluff, this is a MUST try spot.

They have THE BEST margaritas and Cheese dip is old school thick not all watered down! Everything we had was wonderful!!! Plenty of seating, no wait and the wait staff was fast and friendly!

It's a bit higher than regular places, but the cuisine is worth the extra, in my humble opinion.

Although it's good for business, the crowd and line are a bit of a nuisance sometimes when picking up an order. But, the service is outstanding and the staff is very welcoming. Occasionally the pork chop in the El Sol Grill Fajitas is overcooked and occasionally there are more onions and peppers than meat, but for the most part, the food is excellent...especially the cheese dip. The prices are very reasonable and probably a bit lower than expected for the portion size.

Any cook/restaurant can have a bad day, so to expect perfection is a bit much, but consistency is key and they consistently provide good food and service. Guess that's why I keep coming back. I recommend El Sol highly for this reason, and because you are treated as a member of the family just coming for a quick visit.

Came into the restaurant and it wasnt busy at all! Had to call on the waiter to refill my drinks and to take my order. For the restaurant to have 8 workers in front, none of them were trying to assist me and my spouse. Ridiculous how customer service in Pine Bluff is so awful. Ewww! Do better Pine Bluff locations on serving the community. Not just your race but everyone that spends money at your place of business. Thank you.

There aren’t many restaurants in this area, so we were really happy to discover El Sol. The server was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Prices are very affordable, and the portions are generous. I ordered three chorizo street tacos, and my partner had a burrito — both were filling and flavorful, with plenty left to take home.

The real highlight of the meal was the chips and guacamole. The guac was fresh and tasty, and the endless refills of warm chips were such a nice touch.

Overall, El Sol is a great find — friendly service, hearty portions, great value, and delicious food.

Had a call in order and when I picked it up I didn’t realize it but they had added a 20% tip onto a $61 order and it ended up being over $75. That should NOT be allowed. A pick up order? Come on now. A person should be able to elect how much tip, or not, to give. If my family had eaten there, we would’ve been happy to tip but we had no choice. I can tell you, I WILL be checking it next time. Their food is excellent and so is their service. Nice clean place.
