El Sol Méxican Restaurant

There aren’t many restaurants in this area, so we were really happy to discover El Sol. The server was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Prices are very affordable, and the portions are generous. I ordered three chorizo street tacos, and my partner had a burrito — both were filling and flavorful, with plenty left to take home.

The real highlight of the meal was the chips and guacamole. The guac was fresh and tasty, and the endless refills of warm chips were such a nice touch.

Overall, El Sol is a great find — friendly service, hearty portions, great value, and delicious food.

The Poblamo pepper was average but everything else was good. Typical Arkansas Mexican food.

Had a call in order and when I picked it up I didn’t realize it but they had added a 20% tip onto a $61 order and it ended up being over $75. That should NOT be allowed. A pick up order? Come on now. A person should be able to elect how much tip, or not, to give. If my family had eaten there, we would’ve been happy to tip but we had no choice. I can tell you, I WILL be checking it next time. Their food is excellent and so is their service. Nice clean place.

Very good food very nice staff quick great atmosphere

The food is always delicious and hot. The service is always quick. The prices are affordable.

I have known about this place for YEARS!! I live about 20 miles away, but ANY time I am around Pine Bluff I stop by. I even worked with a guy a while back who was in prison on a work release program, but he REALLY helped me learn and get through an issue I was having problems learning at work. After I had it down and certified so I could work in different areas, I told him “I know you are on work release and you can’t leave to go to lunch, but I will bring you ANYTHING you want to eat for your help!!” (His answer was El Sol!!!)

So my husband and I were loyal customers to this place for quite a few years. BUT, that was until they decided to OVERCHARGE us for our meal! When I am told the price of a meal on a restaurant menu, I don't expect to be charged more than what I was told. So, be forewarned that these workers are not always honest with their price charges.

We happened upon this restaurant while traveling. What a great find! We are vegetarians and they had a special vegetarian section on the menu. Sometimes it’s hard to find. we had the mushroom quesadillas. They were wonderful, the best I’ve ever eaten. I will mark it as a favorite in case we pass through again.
