Got a Torta from here that was fantastic although next time I would put the tomatoe on the side. The lady at the register was nice but did not smile much. Got what I needed to make tamales.
Mercadito Latino is a WONDERFUL place and adds a very nice touch of cultural enrichment to the small town of Pocahontas, AR. It is a family-owned grocery store that carries things like fresh-cut meat, banana leaves, and kimchee, as well as your normal household items such as milk, bread, eggs, spices, and toilet paper. They have a box of ready-to-eat ethnic foods, like handmade tamales and papusas at extremely reasonable prices and a wide variety of affordable Mexican candies...
Very good place to eat Mexican food...many times I have come across small towns and excellent Mexican restaurants and without a doubt this is one of them...it is on my route from southern Texas to San Luis MO, and now I discovered it, I'm sure I'll come more often...
