Coyle's Family Restaurant

Coyle’s Restaurant is a charming spot located right across from the historic Battlefield Park in Prairie Grove. It’s easy to find, with plenty of parking available.

We visited on a Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and quickly seated. Service was excellent from the start—our waitress came right over, took our drink and appetizer order, and kept things moving smoothly throughout the meal.

For our appetizer, we ordered the fried mushrooms. They came out quickly, piping hot, and delicious—cut in half, lightly breaded, and cooked perfectly.

For the main course, we ordered catfish with a substitution for the pinto beans. The meals arrived promptly and were overall pretty good. The hushpuppies, while flavorful, were overcooked and a bit dry for my taste, though others at the table enjoyed them just fine. The catfish was served with tartar sauce and pickled green tomatoes—definitely worth asking for if you like a tangy side.

Dessert was the sweet potato coconut crème pie, a unique combination with sweet potato on the bottom and coconut cream on top. The flavors were good, though the sweet potato layer was a little gritty in texture.

The menu is somewhat limited but fitting for a small-town restaurant. Options include nine different burgers, salmon, chicken, meatloaf, chopped steak, and catfish. There are no traditional steaks, but the variety is still solid.

The atmosphere was great—clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience enjoyable.

Overall: Coyle’s is a delightful local restaurant with a warm atmosphere, attentive service, and satisfying comfort food. It’s a nice change of pace for a meal in Prairie Grove, and worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We go here all the time. We have had the joy of getting to know the ladies and they’re such a joy to interact with! I have been hooked on chicken strip dinner with sweet potato fries and honey, gravy for my chicken, green beans or okra with the amazing hot roll! The desserts are delicious also! If you’ve never been here, you should check it out! I would post a picture but by the time I think about it my food is already half way gone. 😂

We live down the road, in Farmington, and this was our first visit to Coyle’s. I wish I would have tried this restaurant sooner. It is clean, wonderful atmosphere, so cute. I ordered the bang bang chicken and rice, and I loved it. My son ordered the cheeseburger and loved it too. He’s 10 years old and said it was the best cheeseburger he’s eaten, so that’s saying something!…I only wish the sides were bigger and cheeseburger came with more fries (those are only minor complaints though). Overall, we will be back soon because I saw multiple things on the menu I wanted to try.

My family's a big fan of this restaurant. Good food & good people.
Recently, I hosted my sister's bridal shower on the patio & it was absolutely perfect. Kendra was amazing working with me to coordinate & very helpful the day of. The space was perfect & I would definitely host another event here. But definitely come enjoy their food in the restaurant! Great people!

Ordered the bacon burgers and fries. Burger was good. Bacon was fresh and crisp. Fries were the real mvp. Sorta beer battered and had a good crunch to them. Worth stopping in.

The food is great but the sides are a little small for the price. The country music playing was a bit loud and annoying.

My Chicken Dressing was really good , my son wasn't feeling the Chicken Salad Sandwich but I tried it and it was good! They have great service and a Killer Pie Selection !!!!!

My family and I have only eaten here twice now and both times I would give more than 5 stars if possible. Everyone is friendly, the restaurant is clean and nice, and the food is beyond words! 10/10 will recommend this place to any and everyone!

This is a nice clean New large building in a very small town. I absolutely was not expecting something so great there. I thought I was going to drive to a small Greasy diner.

Gosh was I shocked. They have some great southern food. I went around 4 o’clock and it was not crowded at all on a weekday. It probably got crowded by the time I left.

I’ve been there quite a few times. They have a small but good salad bar. Greens and beans are good.
Although I think the beans side should be far larger.

Early October visit 2024- chicken and dressing plate sounds great. There’s just to little chicken in it and not seasoned enough for either of us to ever order it again . And my husband’s pretty easy to impress. We gave that a 2-3.

Please do a turkey and sage dressing next, with whole piece of turkey. Not the chicken dressing plate.

Latest visit- out of all potatoes. What I wanted mainly . Got squash instead. Charged $3 extra. ☹️
But beef steak fingers are great!!!!

I greatly enjoy getting to eat here. It’s like a home cooked meal made with love every time. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I wish we were closer!
