My very first time eating here great food friendly people clean place

We were on a trip to see our grandchildren and ordered pick up. The food was excellent, portions huge!! The service was very accommodating for my celiac. Very considerate. Clean, well staffed, and friendly.

Coyle’s Family Restaurant in Prairie Grove, AR, has a charming, cozy vibe that initially draws you in. The building is clean and well-maintained, with an aesthetic that screams “homemade family dining,” which set my expectations pretty high for the food.

I went with the steak fingers special, and while the steak fingers themselves were okay, tender enough and decently seasoned. However, the sides really let me down. The mashed potatoes were thin and watery, tasting suspiciously like they came from a box of instant mix, and the gravy wasn’t much better. I’ve honestly had more satisfying meals during deployments, which says a lot.

To top it off, I opted for the mac and cheese as an upcharge ($2.50), hoping for something worthwhile, but it was no-kidding boxed stuff; same noodle shape and flavor as a generic Kraft knockoff. I felt totally ripped off paying extra for that. I should’ve taken a picture of the mac and cheese. I cannot believe a restaurant could serve that without hesitation, let alone upcharge for it!

On the bright side, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the place runs smoothly. It’s not a bad spot for a quick bite if you’re not too picky, but for the price, the food quality was a major disappointment. I’d give it another shot maybe for something simpler, but overall, it’s average at best. 3 stars.

I don’t get here often but every time I do the food is amazing and the staff is kind. Got the salmon with bang bang sauce today. Perfectly cooked. The salad bar is amazing as well

Coyle’s Restaurant is a charming spot located right across from the historic Battlefield Park in Prairie Grove. It’s easy to find, with plenty of parking available.

We visited on a Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and quickly seated. Service was excellent from the start—our waitress came right over, took our drink and appetizer order, and kept things moving smoothly throughout the meal.

For our appetizer, we ordered the fried mushrooms. They came out quickly, piping hot, and delicious—cut in half, lightly breaded, and cooked perfectly.

For the main course, we ordered catfish with a substitution for the pinto beans. The meals arrived promptly and were overall pretty good. The hushpuppies, while flavorful, were overcooked and a bit dry for my taste, though others at the table enjoyed them just fine. The catfish was served with tartar sauce and pickled green tomatoes—definitely worth asking for if you like a tangy side.

Dessert was the sweet potato coconut crème pie, a unique combination with sweet potato on the bottom and coconut cream on top. The flavors were good, though the sweet potato layer was a little gritty in texture.

The menu is somewhat limited but fitting for a small-town restaurant. Options include nine different burgers, salmon, chicken, meatloaf, chopped steak, and catfish. There are no traditional steaks, but the variety is still solid.

The atmosphere was great—clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience enjoyable.

Overall: Coyle’s is a delightful local restaurant with a warm atmosphere, attentive service, and satisfying comfort food. It’s a nice change of pace for a meal in Prairie Grove, and worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We go here all the time. We have had the joy of getting to know the ladies and they’re such a joy to interact with! I have been hooked on chicken strip dinner with sweet potato fries and honey, gravy for my chicken, green beans or okra with the amazing hot roll! The desserts are delicious also! If you’ve never been here, you should check it out! I would post a picture but by the time I think about it my food is already half way gone. 😂

We live down the road, in Farmington, and this was our first visit to Coyle’s. I wish I would have tried this restaurant sooner. It is clean, wonderful atmosphere, so cute. I ordered the bang bang chicken and rice, and I loved it. My son ordered the cheeseburger and loved it too. He’s 10 years old and said it was the best cheeseburger he’s eaten, so that’s saying something!…I only wish the sides were bigger and cheeseburger came with more fries (those are only minor complaints though). Overall, we will be back soon because I saw multiple things on the menu I wanted to try.

My family's a big fan of this restaurant. Good food & good people.
Recently, I hosted my sister's bridal shower on the patio & it was absolutely perfect. Kendra was amazing working with me to coordinate & very helpful the day of. The space was perfect & I would definitely host another event here. But definitely come enjoy their food in the restaurant! Great people!
