Wonderful food and extremely well priced! A hidden gem in Prairie Grove. I had the bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, and the chili cheese fries as an appetizer. We will definitely be back!

I’m sooo very grateful that Mel’s is 2 blocks from my house. Lived here since 2012 & it’s been a weekly go-to most of that time. The lunch specials are my favorite…meatloaf, taco salad, chicken fried chicken, on & on. Breakfast is where it’s at tho…so good you’ll have to go back to sleep!
Used to go all the time for their breakfast had a few lunches there. The food quality, customer service is off the chain. Highly recommend this place to any one and everyone.

We've been ordering from this place for over six years now. Not just once or twice either, sometimes it's every weekend. And while we’ve only dined in a couple of times, carryout has become part of our family routine. At this point, they probably know our order better than we do.
What makes it even better is that it’s family-owned and operated. You can taste the pride they put into every dish, and they always pack everything up like it's being delivered to their grandma’s house. No soggy fries, no mystery spills, and never a missing item. I don’t know how they pull it off, but the quality and taste are always spot on.
Personal favorite? The Early Bird. That Chicken Fried Chicken hits like a hug from Jesus. Juicy, never dry, and smothered in that hometown gravy they always remember to put on the side, just the way I like it. I’ve never once had a wrong or missing item, which is a miracle in the food world these days.
It’s got that small-town vibe that makes Prairie Grove feel like Prairie Grove. Comfortable, consistent, and full of charm. If you’re looking for something dependable, delicious, and run by folks who actually give a damn, this is your place. Keep it small-town.

Today was my first visit ever there. August 3, 2025. We missed the breakfast cut off so we decide to have lunch. I had one of the best hamburgers I ever had and it was fresh meat. Our server was great to us. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it very much. Place was clean very well orientated. Cannot wait to try their breakfast.

Talk about a huge breakfast! I had 2 egg breakfast with ham-hash browns-toast. I couldn't quite finish the hash browns which is unbelievable since I am a huge breakfast eater. So darned many! The food was excellent. Will be back for more.
