Had a wonderful dinner with my daughter and our best friends on Dec 21st, my 35th wedding anniversary. Atmosphere was warm and relaxed and the food was great! I am so blessed and thankful for times like this.

Delicious. I loved the tomato relish, the fish.... Heck... I loved it all. I got extremely full and miserably happy. The place was very down to earth. The staff was very friendly too.

This place has been hit and miss over the years concerning food quality. We gave it another shot last weekend and were pleasantly surprised how much it has improved. The catfish and fixins were great and the service friendly and fast. Keep up the good work Whippet. we will be back soon for some more great fish and sides.

Wheelchair accessibility: I'm on a walker, the steps going into the dining needs a ramp for the handicap.
The place is famous with locals. The slaw would have been great but it had way too much sugar that had not been dissolved and stirred in. The beans were good. The fish and okra were a bit greasy for my taste. However I would still go back and try a different dish. One at our table had chicken fried steak and it looked delicious.
