UPDATE: Sorry to need to do this, but I can no longer endorse a restaurant that fails to have enough staff to cover the customers. I came in yesterday evening to have dinner and sat at the bar and was not greeted for 12 minutes. I left, as any person with self-respect would.
Applebee's is the clear superior 'casual' restaurant chain. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable, and they have very nice and engaging people working there who take pride in their work lives. They have a salad that is my favorite meal anywhere and I eat there 3-5 times per week.

A/C was out in the middle of June!!!! Smelled like sewage 🤮 (should have left at that point, but the elderly man aka server was so kind) food arrived undercooked, not done correctly, and mushy🤢🤮. Will NOT EVER go back. We drove over 2 hours to come here as my son loves Applebee's. Never again!!!
