Great catfish, corn nuggets, and Hushpuppies. The slaw was perfect, not to vinegary. Corn nuggets were hot and fresh. Tartar sauce was more mayonnaisey, which is how I like it. Service was great. Overall very happy. Got drinks to go and leftovers were just as good at supper time. Total cost $45.

AVOID! Used to be good food and reasonably fair prices. NO LONGER! The prices keep going up and the size of the fish pieces keep getting smaller (if that's possible). The are better fish places around these days. Look 'em up.

Catfish fried to perfection. And, the best Hushpuppies I've ever had. Excellent flavor with a light airy inside and crispy outside. Not your standard grease balls. If I didn't eat anything else I could eat a plate of them alone!

We come for catfish pretty often, most times we get our meal to go but sometimes we like to dine in. Unfortunately, Mr John would be disappointed in his staff. The fish was ok, not the norm but they were a bit busy, not a full house by any means. Their beans which are my favorite, tasted burnt. Still I don’t say a word. The service is/was unacceptable and apparently tolerated. I read reviews before posting my own because I figured it was just me. They seemed bothered by taking my order, when you walk in, not from the table, I was made aware of that. Weird? No plates were given with our meal, no refills on drinks, no one came to the table after the meal was served. I spoke to one of the wait staff as there were 4 of them all chatting. The restaurant is in bad need of cleaning. Food on walls and pictures covered in?? The prices have increased but definitely not service. I felt outcasted as the staff just went around to the kitchen to tell my complaint. I only asked if it was typical for the servers not to serve? I love to support local but honestly you can get better service from fast food establishments.
