We have been to House 1830 on Valentine’s Day. We have been in Roger’s for 3 years but never dined in here and it seems like we missed a great place. It’s a must try restaurant in NWA. Great food and service.

I am not one to ever take time to write reviews.. but.. what an absolutely unexpected time filled with drool-worthy food, hidden creativity and much underlying meaning!! My husband and I and our friends came in being a little overwhelmed by the menu but went with “The Favorite Nephew” platter and when I say this food was immaculate, I mean it. Everyone at our table was full and the food was so flavorful with tastes you won’t find anywhere else in Northwest Arkansas.

Beyond the quality of food, the business is ran by family. The owner specifically was such a delight, he took the time to bring our friends’ kid a toy and shared the intention between the menu, name of the restaurant, color and so so much more that you’ll have to figure out. Truly 10/10 experience.

House 1830 is easily one of our favorite spots in downtown Rogers! The vibe is incredibly intimate and cozy, making it the perfect place for a low-key but high-end feeling dinner. For us, this made for the perfect date night.
The food was absolutely delicious—everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. We ordered the niece platter which was plenty of food to share and chefs choice food allowing us to taste several different things on the menu. What really topped it off, though, was the service. The staff is so genuinely friendly and makes you feel right at home the second you walk in.
If you’re looking for a great energy and even better food, this is it!

I’ve been here a dozen times and it’s consistently a 10/10 experience! I travel a lot and the honey ginger chicken at House 1830 is my favorite meal of anywhere I’ve been! A must try! If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

I hate to leave negative reviews but I will not be back.
The food was mediocre at best. Extremely disappointed and overpriced to say the least.
I saw the reviews and got excited, but this place is definitely an over priced place disguised as “high end”.
So many other Viet restaurants around NWA that I would recommend before going here.

Wow! This experience was phenomenal. Their food was so fresh and well prepared. I loved the unique Cha Gio spring rolls. The seafood pho was flavorful. So was their honey ginger chicken. Will definitely want to experience this again.

Wow, just wow. The food was so delicious! Staff really cares about what they are doing/food they are serving/the story and history of the restaurant/and the experience the customers have. This was more than a dinner with good food, it was a fun experience! Definitely recommend as a must.

My friends invited us to House 1830 after hearing nothing but glowing reviews, so we came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience was one of the most disappointing dining outings we’ve had in Northwest Arkansas.

Our reservation was at 6:30 PM. We were promptly seated, waters poured, and asked about drinks. Service started fine — we ordered the House Sampler and the Salt & Pepper Tofu

Where the night really fell apart was the entrée service. We placed a very simple order of two Honey Glazed Chickens and two of their new Shrimp Stir Frys. And then… nothing. We sat. And sat. And sat. Over an hour went by before we finally had to flag down a server who wasn’t even ours to ask what was going on.

Turns out our food had never been entered into the system at all.

From there, they tried to “expedite,” but that only resulted in each dish being walked out separately, several minutes apart, as they finished. One entrée arrived, then another five minutes later, then the next a few minutes after that, and so on. Not exactly the experience you want when dining with friends.

Throughout the night, we received a carousel of apologies from different staff members anytime they came to the table. But apologies don’t mean much when there’s no actual resolution. No comped meal, no comped appetizer, no gesture beyond “sorry.” We were even told they would comp an appetizer if we ordered another one… which is not a comp.

By the time we finally left, it was 8:30 PM, two full hours after arriving.

The food itself didn’t redeem the night either. My Honey Glazed Chicken was extremely salty, the glaze was oddly gritty, and the plating felt almost comically sparse: three tiny cauliflower pieces (really just one cut into thirds), six green beans, and a small scoop of white rice. I’ve genuinely had better teriyaki-style chicken at Panda Express.

To top things off, when paying the bill, the server stood hovering over us in a way that felt pushy, especially given everything that had already happened.

After this experience, it’s hard to imagine going back. First impressions matter, and this was an unfortunate combination of mismanagement, long delays, mediocre food, and no real attempt at making things right. With so many great restaurants in NWA, it’s disappointing that House 1830 couldn’t deliver even a basic dining experience.

House 1830 has become me and my families favorite restaurant. The food is authentic and truly outstanding. We had the nephew platter which I recommend if you want to try a variety of dishes. The chef came to the table and explained the dishes, which we thought was a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

This food is authentic! The owner is incredibly involved and accommodating! Great story behind the start of the restaurant! Amazing food, GREAT for food allergy friendly people like me, fun, fresh and great tasting cocktails, and great staff! Highly recommended!
