My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally had the opportunity. In all my years of dining, I must say this was in the top 5 of the best experiences Ive ever had.
Lola was an amazing host. Very friendly and informative. Everyone we encountered was super polite, friendly, and informative. Many recommendations were made and prefrences were asked and taken into consideration to help us make the best decesion on a cuisine that most people may not really understand the flavor profiles and textures.
Our drinks and food came very quickly and were absolutely beautiful. The flavors were absolutely amazing and had me dancing in my chair. The fish sauce and shrimp paste were exceptional.
Overall, this cozy little restaurant with a staff that makes you feel like family and food that amazed me is definitely a place I recommend anyone and everyone to try.

[Catering Review]: I recently used Lasang Pinoy to cater my husband's birthday party. They were incredibly easy to work with, spending extra time and care to guide me on options for an event my size with special dietary restrictions. Maria was incredibly helpful and figured out a way to make the catering order happen on short notice. The food arrived on time, the team executed a great setup while I was busy dealing with other vendors, and they even took initiative to put extras in the oven to ensure the food stayed warm. They thought through all the details -- signs for the food, to-go boxes for any leftovers, and extra dipping sauces.
In addition to the catering service, the food itself was phenomenal. I've lived in DC, Miami, and Portland so I've had a chance to eat at some amazing restaurants and Lasang did not disappoint. Everything was bright and comforting and exactly what I had hoped for. Many of our friends made a point to come ask where the food was from and the to-go boxes were definitely utilized.
All in all, just a wonderful experience. Great people cooking up great food with a vested interest in how they approach and treat their customers. I'd 10/10 recommend them for a quick bite or for a larger catered meal.

Since Jesse’s account cannot reply directly to your response, we’re writing from another friend’s account who was also at the table. Because you replied so quickly and took responsibility for what happened, we have also left a new five-star review to reflect that.
Thank you again for taking the time to write such a detailed response and for refunding our ticket — we appreciate that, and we also appreciate that you care about your guests and about regulatory compliance.
We want to clarify that our review wasn’t meant to accuse you of intentionally mis-representing prices or to mislead anyone; from the guest side, we simply saw a bill that didn’t match what we remembered from the menu. Your explanation about the extra scoop makes sense now.
For us, the main issue really wasn’t the exact ticket time for dinner, but the overall service experience around dessert and how our concerns were handled. We were seated at 6:30 and left a little after 9:00. We asked our server for dessert at around 8:10, but she then disappeared for about 15 minutes before even bringing the dessert menu. After we finally ordered Turon with ube ice cream, it was another roughly 20 minutes before anything came out, even though there were very few tables left in the restaurant at that point.
When we asked why the dessert was taking so long, the response we got was essentially that our wait “wasn’t that long,” with an explanation about the fryer instead of a simple apology. That dismissive tone was honestly the most upsetting part of the night — it made us feel that our frustration as guests wasn’t really being taken seriously.
On top of that, the ice-cream situation was worrying for us. We had clearly requested ube, and when the dessert first came out there was no ice cream at all. After we mentioned it, our server brought mango ice cream and only then told us ube was out. No one checked if mango was okay before changing it, even though one person in our group is allergic to mango. We caught it in time, but after waiting about 40 minutes from asking for dessert to finally getting the correct plate, discovering an allergy trigger on the plate was extremely frustrating and could have been dangerous.
Just to add, we actually have photos of most of the dishes on our phones with timestamps, so our comments about the overall time are based on those records rather than just a vague feeling. We didn’t want our review to sound like an exaggeration; it reflects what we experienced that evening.
We wrote the original review with limited space, so we couldn’t include every detail. Our intention was not to attack your restaurant — we enjoyed the food and said so — but to give honest feedback in the hope that the service level can improve. We completely understand that busy nights happen and servers can have bad days, but comments like “your wait isn’t that long” and changing an ice-cream flavor without asking the guest do make the experience feel uncaring from our side.
We wish you and your team the best, and we hope this additional context helps explain where we were coming from.

Today’s experience was quite disappointing. We waited almost 30 minutes just for a dessert—even though the restaurant was nearly empty—and our food took OVER AN HOUR to arrive. The overall efficiency was completely unacceptable.
What made the situation worse was that we added additional ube ice cream to the dessert, but our server, Briley S, switched it to mango without informing us. One of our customers is allergic to mango, and this could have been dangerous. (And we waited ice cream for like 40 min🤪) On top of that, the price on the final bill didn’t even match the menu.
I’ve never seen service this unprofessional, slow, and careless. It’s a shame, because the food itself was not bad—but the service ruined the entire experience and left us with no desire to return.

Just finished a boodle fight for my 22nd and I had an excellent experience with all aspects. The staff was very kind and willing to chat and answer questions, they were incredibly easy to work with getting the event catered, and the food was amazing. I haven't had food like that since growing up with my nana when I was young.
We will definitely be back for karaoke and ube!!

BOODLE FIGHT!!! Ultimately one of the best experiences my family and I have done. The Lasang Pinoy team has made special accommodations for this dinner. They will make sure everyone comes out full and their belts loosened. Will definitely come back not only for the food but the amazing service and atmosphere. Much love LP family.

From small plates to family-style sharing, this place has it all. My unadventurous family were a little nervous with some of the unfamiliar fare, but everyone LOVED the food! Favorites were garlic shrimp, lumpia (Shanghai, Dynamite, & Veggie), green beans, chicken adobo, pork belly, and more! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Maria and crew! Absolutely wonderful!

My family has eaten here twice now and all dishes we’ve tried are delicious. My 1.5 and 3 year old love the food here too! Food is NOT spicy, but you have all the fixings to doctor up as you see fit. The staff are super nice and give great recommendations on what to try.
Most recently they even turned the tv onto Bluey when my kids started getting restless right as food arrived… we got to enjoy the meal while it was hot! 🙏
