Beautiful location however the staff seemed cold and gave our coffees and pastries to go even though we informed them we wanted to dine in. The line was pretty long but it was a Saturday morning when we arrived there, I ordered a basic vanilla latte and I don’t have any complaints but its also nothing to rave about.
Let me start off and say the coffee and food are fantastic. Noticed today their tip presets are 20%, 25%, and 30%. 20% is perfect. But more just to take my order and make a coffee? You don’t even do table service. Pay your dang employees enough. That’s all.
I really wanted to love Onyx, and it's a beautiful space with a fantastic reputation. I'll give them credit for being bold and innovative with their menu. However, my turmeric latte was just a little too bold for my taste. I appreciate the health benefits and the unique flavor, but it honestly tasted like they put enough turmeric in there to repel bugs.
