My husband tried the walleye and I had salmon. Both entrees were fantastic. There were sides and items on the menu that the chef created that were not dishes you see commonly.

There was only one waitress and one waiter. I know it’s a small place but I was underwhelmed with service. They only refilled our drinks when asked, not attentive.
The food was really good, but the pricing was way out of line for the area.

I know there are a million good restaurants around but if you have not tried The Fat Chef it is AMAZING!!!! We are huge foodies and for our anniversary we decided to try it out. The food is seriously soooo good (get the ribeye) but even more than that the owners are sooooooo sooooo kind! She was so sweet, checked on us, and even remembered our kids names when we left. Seriously recommend!

We were really hoping for a great experience at The Fat Chef, unfortunately that wasn’t to be. The Carrot Cake and the Wedge Salad saved this from being a 1 star rating. The steaks were under seasoned, the carrots as a side were undercooked, and the Caesar salad was a travesty. I’ve had better Caesar salad out of a bag. Despite returning the salad they didn’t bother to take the $10 up charge for the Cesar salad off the bill. Granted we didn’t ask them to, but you might expect that from a fine dining restaurant when you return a dish and tell them it’s terrible. We thought the fact that only two groups were in the restaurant may be a bad sign that the locals already knew better than we did, and that seems to be the case.
Great food and great people. You won’t find better food anywhere in north west Arkansas.

My husband and I had an unforgettable dining experience at The Fat Chef in Rogers, Arkansas, near the Prairie Creek Marina. Hands down, this was the best steak we’ve ever had. We ordered the porterhouse and split it—it was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor.
The bread was fresh and delicious, setting the tone for the meal. What truly stood out was the warm, family-owned atmosphere. Christine, one of the owners, overheard me mentioning that I wanted to come back to try the clam chowder. To my surprise, she brought out a small bowl for me to taste—it was incredible! That thoughtful touch made the evening even more special.
I paired the meal with the house Pinot Noir, and it was so good I ended up having three glasses! The quality of the food, wine, and service is unmatched.
10/10 recommend. If you’re near Prairie Creek Marina or anywhere in the Rogers area, do yourself a favor and visit The Fat Chef. We can’t wait to return!

We have been to The Fat Chef quite a few times now and it never disappoints. From the moment you walk in you receive the best service. The staff is genuinely happy to see you and serve you. The food is amazing! Steaks are seasoned and cooked perfectly every time. Portions are great and we always look forward to the chef added veggies of the night. The twice baked potatoes are a must! Do not skip out on the desserts! If you are lucky enough to go on a night when they have their strawberry shortcake biscuits get them! Our favorite by far. Over all we look forward to treating ourselves to a meal at The Fat Chef! Amazing service and amazing food what more can you ask for!
My husband and I dined here to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Everything was delicious and our waiter was so kind and very attentive. Our glasses were consistently filled, my husband’s porter house steak was the best steak he’s ever had. He’s raved about it all weekend. For desert we had the spiced cream cheese carrot cake and it was so yummy. They even brought it out with a candle on it and congratulated us on our special night out. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate next year and we love supporting small business!

It was very clean, but the overpowering candle burning right by our table triggered a migraine. Not the best anniversary experience.
