We go here every summer! It’s outside of town so it’s quiet and cozy just the way we like it! The view is gorgeous, the cabins are spacious and well designed, the staff is kind and welcoming! The highlight of our trip is to rent one of their boats and spend a day out on the water. Our kids have enjoyed it here since they were little and still do as teenagers. We are so thankful for this place!
We were in RV spot 7, it was a great place to stay. We rented a boat and went out and explored the lake. Such a beautiful lake!
Loved the Echo Canyon Park and lake. Very clean. People friendly. I did not see one piece of trash anywhere. Excellent weather and beautiful water. I will return.
The staff was above any I've dealt with in a long time. Had a 14yr old with me and she wanted to stay because of the people working there. Cabin was clean. I'm all about clean. To swim without a boat had to drive to the other side, even though you could see it from the cabin. I'm assuming the water was kinda nasty looking from lack of boat traffic. And it's like an area off the main channel. They did have life jackets just hanging up to use. That was good to see. Would go back because they really made me feel welcomed there
Nice boat ramp with easy docking. Public restrooms in parking lot.
Jimmy and I had a wonderful time at Echo Canyon Resort and Marina a few weekends ago. We love to hike with our pup, Coco, and of course, did some fishing too. Herrold’s Hideaway was perfect! Highly recommend.
Very nice place, clean, friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay again when in the area.
Visited for a vacation and had a relaxcation. To start, ability to park right next to cabin and having our own grill feet from the lake facing patio was phenomenal. There is small kitchen in cabin and air conditioner too, so you get the wildlife experience with luxury amenities. Not being in the Hilton was nice and could fall asleep from the crackle of the camp fire and wake up to the reflection on the lake. Outside dining options are a little far, but worked out good cause we cooked dinner at cabin and in return got more enjoyable time. It's about 30 scenic minutes of driving to bath house row driving. We also did some of the quartz crystal prospecting at nearby mines and caught the crystal fever😝🤒. The staff were super friendly and there demeanor was pleasant on arrival with a welcoming laugh. Now I need to get another trip on the books cause the question is not if I will go back but when I will go back. Thanks for the Rockstar vacation.🪨🤘💎
Stayed for two nights approximately two weeks ago now. Quiet area, clean grounds and cabin was nicely furnished and exceptionally clean. I found the all the people working there to be friendly ,interested in me enjoying my stay - I will be back on my next trip to Arkansas
Our cabin was clean and had all the amenities you find at a hotel room. The owners are super nice to talk to.
My favorite thing about the resort is the view of the lake. Absolutely majestic!

The place was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the lake and even the drive up through the mountains was amazing. We stayed in cabin #8 during the off season so a nights stay was only 100$ which was an amazing deal for what we got. They have everything you would need, pots, pans, baking sheets and even a lot of measuring equipment. Not to mention utensils, and pretty much every cooking tool you'd need. There was also a small grill out on the deck that had grill tools and looked out into the marina. For us we stayed here because we were visiting nearby Hot Springs and it was the perfect distance of about 20 minutes from the heart of the town. After our visit they even sent us a thank you letter for choosing their service. I was blown away, truly. When we come back to visit the local area again we absolutely know where we will be staying.
Excellent place to stay whether you’re visiting the area, fishing or just relaxing. The hosts were amazingly kind and helpful!!
Lovely cabins in such a beautiful place. Incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. Thank you for having us!!
We stayed at Bear Necessities and it was beautifully decorated, well-accommodated and easy to find! The views from the back porch were stunning. The staff were friendly and welcoming and even took the time to mail a hand-written card after our stay. If we’re ever in the Hot Springs area again we’ll 100% be staying at Echo Canyon!
We stayed two or three times the past summer and we love it. I have my reservations booked for the upcoming summer. Staff is awesome. They treat you like family. RV spots are awesome.
