Horrible food and service Not like it was Hamburger meat with hard pieces that tastes like spoiled grease You will not get what you order either because the place is too loud or they don’t understand or listen Will never go

I remember this location fondly as a child. My memories were of amazing Mexican food, always happy staff, and of course the coin vending machines by the doors. Sadly I will now remember this location for the disaster of a lunch that has absolutely ruined any good memory I had! On arrival there were very few cars in the lot, good sign for a speedy lunch. Upon entry we were quickly greeted and seated at a table that needed a few adjustment feet or replacing altogether. I knew the wobbly table would make for an interesting lunch for my toddler (1 year old) - Luckily the high chair was disgusting enough that I decided to sit my child in my lap for lunch. Drinks, chips, and some resemblance of salsa (3/10 maybe) was quickly placed on the table. Order taken and wow just fifteen minutes later we had our "meals." Hard taco shells were elastic, I tease you not they were chewy and almost plastic consistency. I would have had hopes of sending the tacos back but with the enchilada meat containing bits of cartilage and other unappetizing pieces I knew I'd be wasting my time; Previous attempt to get the waiters attention was hampered by the obnoxiously loud music. This location DOES NOT in any way compare to the location next to the university - That location has excellent food all around. It's a shame this location exists to drag down the restaurant name and ruin memories of great food and atmosphere that it used to be years and years ago.

Ordered the enchiladas supremes 2 of them. Asked for no beans but extra rice on one. We live within a mile of the restaurant. There was no beans,at all, rice on both! The meat was so salty I picked around and ate a little bit of it.It was cold , not even a little warm, it was cold. There’s no excuse for that. It use to be a good place to eat, no more. La Huerta on main, we won’t be back!

My husband and I were at LA Huerta restaurant last night, December 7. He is an over the road driver and we wanted some Mexican food. There is a steak house across from them hat as full but he wanted Mexican food. He ordered shrimp fajitas and I had tortilla soup. My soup was clear broth. A lot of chicken, but barely warm when it was served and I wasn't going to eat it. My husband asked the waitress to have it reheated. When she returned with the soup it had been warmed. But also had added ingredients, cilantro and fresh chopped onions. A lot of cilantro and onions and it was now cloudy. I didn't want to eat it, but I'm diabetic and didn't want my husband fussing over getting me something else to eat on the way back to the truck stop.I started feeling sick before we made it back the 1.4 miles.I've been up all night. There is no reason to add fresh ingredients that had not even been in the original soup unless there was a taste you wanted to disguise. I CAN ONLY GUESS BUT MY GUESS WOULD PROBABLY BE DISH WATER.DONT EAT HERE. IT IS NOT A REPUTABLE RESTAURANT.

It’s a bit loud for me like most places.Guacamole was smooth and someone forgot and over salted it heavily, they were nice and replaced it.Poblano Steak burrito is a small pepper inside. Nice spicy. Too bland for me but most people may be fine with it. Steak was fine. Has some beans and rice in it. Not a best choice for me.We will return again and try something else. Used to go here often years ago.Chicken fajitas is mostly meat. Not many peppers at all.
