Food was amazing and abundant. Like we got extra of almost everything! Had 2 meals and took home enough for a third meal. Had fried catfish, chicken strips, grilled fish, grilled shrimp, hush puppies, fries and everything tasted well seasoned and cooked! Also the drinks come in huge cups, which is great for heavy drinkers but they need to invest in longer straws for that reason. Only minor complaint. Would highly recommend anyone to grab a bite here!

Ot didn't take long to get our appetizers . Which is awesome, we ordered fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms.... They brought the mushrooms and pickles out. Yes pickles, the tomatoes came out shortly after we caught the waitress, and told her we didn't get them. She said. " I was wondering why they were on there"! My question is why didn't she fix it before she carried it out to us ?.. the sweet tea was ok. Tasted a little sour, or a different one than we are used to at home or other restaurants. ?♀️It took us a min to get the waitresses attention to get some ranch and mayonnaise, we got to go containers, the helping is huge!! ? We couldn't eat it all. The GREEN tomatoes weren't green I guess you could say. They were hard. Not from being fried, like they weren't ready .... If that makes sense. I am not saying it was terrible, maybe it was busier than usual, or an off night..Go try it out and see what you think. ?. A little pricey, but not too expensive.Vegetarian options: Not sure what options there are. May not be a good vegetarian option..Dietary restrictions: Shrimp, oysters, and you can smell the seafood or fish, so if you're allergic. NOT A GOOD IDEA...I love seafood. Sam's is a local or regional chain, and some locations are hit & miss.This location in Russellville is most definitely a hit! It's clean & well-lit with a nice casual atmosphere.I ordered the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy, as I've had good ones at Sam's before. I was unexpectedly impressed with the plating/presentation. I'm not known to frequent fine establishments that are overly concerned about presentation, but they really did a fine job!When my food arrived, it consisted of the sandwich I'd ordered, the piping-hot & savory green beans I'd ordered, two JUMBO fried shrimp on the side, and two delicious hush puppies. The food was great, and the service was wonderful.I have zero complaints!

Sam's is our favorite fish chain, but sometimes locations can vary on quality. This was one of the best, if not the best, of all the ones we've visited so far. The red beans and rice were so good I wanted to eat a gallon of them!Excellent food, huge portions, fabulous service, no complaints.**And that one photo was of a mosquito that was *outside* the window... It was just so dang big I needed evidence, lol.

Delicious food, the service was excellent and they're very friendly as well as helpful. This will be my go to spot for fish.I returned 2 days later to take part in the crab boil which was also delicious but my nephew got the Philly cheesesteak and I have to say that I'm going back this afternoon to get one because he let me try a little bit of it and it was amazing! So now it's on my mindanother update today Sunday March 9th, I went back for a Philly cheese steak french fries green beans and coconut fried pie it was absolutely to die for and I loved my waitress. She's hilarious and knows what to recommend. But to be honest with you everything is delicious. Everyone I took ate crab legs fish and chicken and they loved it. So this is going to be a regular spot for me when I'm in town!!!!

Went to Sam’s Southern Eatery last night for a birthday party with friends . We had fried dill pickles and onion rings for appetizers they were fresh and hot and the server brought plenty of dipping sauce. Everyone ordered something different from a grilled cheese sandwich to the surf and turf meal. The service was a little slow but everything was fresh and hot the only thing that was not all that good was the hush puppies no flavor. The fried pies were hot and fresh also. Good place not great well worth the visit
