A true drive-in! My wife, who is a Searcy native says that there has been a drive-in restaurant at this location since some time in the 50’s. She remembers dining here in the 60’s with her family as well as having lunch here when she was in high school in the early 70’s. At that time the establishment was under different ownership. I've been eating Barb's BBQ my entire life. It's the most consistent food, never altered and never changes. I eat it most days for lunch. You cannot beat their slaw if you like a mustard style slaw. Nothing fancy but I have never had one complaint.
Barb's BBQ looks like it is straight from the screen if you were to watch an episode of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. This BBQ stand has been a staple in the community for many years, and it shows with their reputation and reviews. BBQ and the associated fixings are the main offerings here, and you won't be disappointed with anything you get. It's cheap, good, and all around your usual kind of Southern fare.
