Cluttered little country diner. Looks like it needs dusting and a good cleaning. Thefood tasted like old grease. Water was extra nasty. Hash browns were the best thing on my plate. Server was so sweet. They charged me extra for using a card. I don't recommend eating here

Ive taken my wife and daughter to Jo's Diner at least 5 days out of the week for the past two years. During that time, I've seen the cook, Alex, bully the customers, waitresses, and some days ruin the moods of the whole staff with his attitude.
I order the same dish every time + or - a piece of bacon. Today I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, with the egg on the side, over-easy. I dont eat eggs at all due to a food aversion, but my wife does. And since the croissant is around 6 dollars with or without the egg, I order it on the side so she can have it.
The croissant comes out with the egg on it, yolk busted and running all into the bread, rather than on the side. I sent it back, noting that I'd requested the egg on the side. When it is returned, the egg had been set aside but egg yolk was still all soaked into the bread. I sent it back again and requested a different croissant since the egg yolk was still soaked all into the bread.
I was told that if I wanted my order corrected, that I would have to pay for an additional croissant to be made correctly, in addition to the croissant that was made incorrectly. We got up and left, after having words with Alex about it, and won't be back again. A $6 croissant is more important to this cook than correcting his mistake, and apparently more important than customer loyalty or a customer's satisfaction. Alex, of course, blamed the waitress, and said she took the order wrong, which is typical of him to blame others.
NEVERTHELESS, It doesn't matter if it's the cook's mistake or the waitress took the order wrong. IT SHOULD NOT FALL ON THE CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR FOOD THAT WAS NOT PREPARED AS-ORDERED DUE TO SOMEONE ELSE'S MISTAKE.

Order came out wrong so I sent it back to be corrected, only to be told that I would have to pay not only for the incorrect order, but also for the food to be made correctly. Will not be back.

We have stopped at this Diner several times going through Sheridan on road trip have never been disappointed biscuits are wonderful if you have breakfast. Chicken fried steak and other sandwiches are excellent.. like homemade with real food not prepared meats. Highly recommend

Food was phenomenal, the interior is quirky with a ton of black and white posters of various famous celebrities. The service was on point, and the pricing wasn't too bad. The food came out fast, and they serve you like it's still the 90's. Old world vibe.
