From the bland exterior to the advertisement -covered tables, Sakura lands surprisingly on the upper end of average. I feel like I need to specify that that is not necessarily a bad thing. Our experience with the food was 50/50. The gyoza we ordered as an appetizer was fairly lackluster with no real distinct flavor other than what I could only describe as "mildly pork", almost as is it was something out of the frozen section from a supermarket. The sushi is great, and the staff is always attentive. The only thing I would suggest is staying open throughout the day, but I know that just like most sushi places closing between lunch and dinner is normal.
The sushi was good, however we only had 4 people in our party and one of us didn't get our meal until almost the others were finished. Our server was very kind and apologetic (it was obviously out of his control, which we understood), and offered a $2.00 discount. The food was average (we have been here two other times). I would rate the sushi as average-good. (P.S. The music playing was late 90s R&B. Ha...)
