Black Apple – A Gem in Downtown Springdale

Black Apple in downtown Springdale is hands down one of my favorite spots to unwind and enjoy a great drink. As Arkansas’ first cidery, they offer a fantastic selection of ciders that are as creative as they are delicious. Whether you’re a cider enthusiast or just curious to try something new, Black Apple delivers a unique and refreshing experience every time.

The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, making it the perfect place to hang out with friends or enjoy a laid-back evening. The staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable, ready to recommend the perfect cider based on your tastes. Each cider has its distinct flavor profile, from crisp and dry to fruity and bold, ensuring something for everyone.

What I love most about Black Apple is its commitment to using locally sourced ingredients and supporting the community. It adds a special touch to every sip, knowing you’re enjoying something truly local and crafted with care.

If you’re in downtown Springdale, Black Apple is a must-visit for a great drink, a great vibe, and a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different in the Northwest Arkansas area.

No food, but the drinks were good overall. We were the only customers there on a Sunday afternoon but enjoyed spending our time outside. The cider tasted great although had limited variety. Not sure if they use only one variety of apples and just add flavor or what, but overall the cider and slush were good and savory. The outdoor patio wasn’t really anything special to look at. Service was fast as we were the only people there at the time.

I cannot speak to the physical location but their retail sales side of things has zero customer service response. I've sent 4 emails to the email on their website since January about debris floating in many of my cans of Hibiscus Cider with not a SINGLE response. I've bought over 100 cases of the hibiscus cider from several liquor stores and retail locations over the last 3 years and never had a problem until a batch bearing the date/batch number of (230405) on the can.

Each and every can bearing that date had slimy gunk at the bottom of the cans. Each time, I had to return them and some of them I was unable to return and just had to take that loss. The biggest kicker was the nerve to raise the prices for several liquor stores amidst this huge oversight in quality control. I reached out and gave benefit of the doubt but the lack of any type of response is disheartening and mildly concerning about the company's lack of a sense of care for the customers safety or return business.

Attached are pictures I took of the debris I have found. Note that the pictures each came from DIFFERENT four-packs and even different cases bearing the same date/batch number.

I have found one liquor store owner who took my concerns seriously and have not had any problems with any cans marked with (231231) but I am still highly upset with the lack of response from the company and disregard toward the issue when told about it by liquor store owners and distributors.

Very nice place. It wasn't as busy as places in Bentonville or Fayetteville are. I will definitely be back!

Best cider, most laid back drinking experience, live shows and they allow dogs...and you can bring in food since they don't serve food.

I've gone for trivia Monday nights a few times now. Even before then it's always been good here. I like to get Taquiero Don Guero across the street and eat that here while drinking some cider. Keith is an awesome host for trivia! Really great energy and mood throughout the event. Service here is always good.
