The staff is excellent and they are good at what they do, I just wish the burger and fries had something more to them, like a seasoning or a special sauce.

10 out of 10! Everything was so good. We had the chicken sandwich and a cheese burger and fries and the peach and strawberry fried pies. My husband thought the fried pies could have been fried just a touch less but I thought they were great. Very friendly and attentive service too. We also got some fresh salsa and a beautiful little piece of pottery they had for sale from some locals.

We are here visiting and stumbled across the Pleasant Counter - what a great find! Outstanding smash burgers, fries made in beef tallow - the perfect blend of crispy and soft - and great service. They also sell homemade jams and other items from local farms. Everything is locally sourced, and the owner clearly cares about quality food and experience. We will absolutely be back before we go!
This establishment has so much going for it. One of the only places I can eat fried food and not feel like crap. Fries and other fried items are cooked in healthier beef tallow and not unhealthy seed oils. A rare gem that doesn’t compromise taste for health!

Believe the hype. I am a burger snob and this place is top 3 burger of all time. Grass fed burgers are not easy to make well but mine was perfect and the accoutrements were excellent. The beef tallow fries were the best I’ve had since duck fat fries in France. I spoke to one of the owners (maybe) and she told me more about the farm to table ingredients they use here including the grass fed beef tallow. If you value healthy real comfort food this is a must try.
