I've been to the Chuck Wagon many times, but normally during the week. I went with some family members today and raved about how good the food is to them, but now I wish I hadn't. Granted, we got there around 12:20-12:30, and they close at 1:00, but the food on the buffet was pretty much non-existent. We were told that they would bring out more mashed potatoes, green beans, and fried pork chops, but they were out of chicken so there would be no more of it. There were some small scraps of meatloaf left but it wasn't going to be replenished, either. Two of us ate what we could from the buffet and two ordered from the menu, but it was not worth the money we paid this time. They ran out of several essentials and even had to ask for plates, forks, steak sauce, and dessert (they put it up shortly after we arrived). Our waitress was extremely nice and, considering how busy they were, she was attentive. But, the rest of the meal was, well....meh. And, I think something was wrong with the green beans. They tasted like something had turned bad. I am very disappointed with this visit. I understand they were closing soon, but they had a restaurant still full of patrons when we left and two more came in as we were paying. Needless to say, I will pick my days and times to eat at the Chuck Wagon more carefully in the future, or I just won't go back. It was too expensive and NOT good this time.

I ordered a fish plate and that wasn't fish. That was the worst fish I done ever had. That was a waste of $14. It felt like rubber or something.

Quaint hometown restaurant. Fast, friendly service with a choice of buffet or menu order. I had the smothered pork chops, turnip greens, and black eyed peas. It was all well prepared and seasoned. Thanks for a pleasant lunch for an out-of-towner.

Chuck wagon burger is great. Ser ice was a little iffy. Atmosphere isn't, strip mall cut out.... not sure if they even have a rest room. Staff was friendly enough. Just a cafe feel

Excellent food, I was surprised they were just open for lunch as the food is so good! The waitress said they can't get enough customers to stay open full-time! Go eat here, you won't be disappointed!
