My husband and I arrived to have lunch since we haven't eaten here in a few years. Arrived and sat at the bar. Sat for about 15 min before receiving any chips and salsa and immediately informed that we knew what we wanted and was ready to order. Our order was not taken at this time. We sat for another 15 to 20 and informed that we wanted out ticket so we can go eat somewhere else as we already been sitting for 30 to 35 min total. Staff member and I'm assuming it's the manager, request for us to place order with her and she will take care of it. Before it got to the point of us wanting to leave the establishment, we observed the lady who was working the bar walking around and serving everyone else around us, even those who walked in after and sat at bar was immediately waiting upon, received their chips and salsa and was able to place their order. Also witness others who arrived after us receive their food before we even placed our order. Made us feel like we was not welcomed or wanted in establishment as we were looked over. We observed that more staff is needed at the bar area as staff member has to work the bar and booths surrounding the bar. Manager did try to rectify the situation but it doesn't take away from the experience while there.

We ate at this very El Chico September 2024. We both thought our food was excellent - especially the meat sauce on the enchiladas. But our visit this time was not nearly as good.

Steak was cooked perfect, waitress was fantastic and it was pleasant to see someone that had politeness as we did in the 60s

On May 14, 2025 walked into the front door. El Chico’s stood there approximately five minutes. The hostess came back and said that she’d have to ask the manager if they could see us for a party of four because it was 8:40 PM
Technically, I looked at my watch and it was 8:37 PM and we had been standing there approximately 5 to 7 minutes in all honesty by this point
I’ve never heard of a restaurant that had patriots inside eating having to ask a manager if they can see a party of 430 minutes before closing
I understand it’s a little rude to walk in right at closing time but if you’re open till 9 o’clock, then it says you’re open till 9 o’clock
It doesn’t mean that you close at 8:15 and your doors are locked at 9 o’clock and you push everybody out. This is absolutely absurd will not be going back to El Chico’s. I’ll take my business somewhere else.
