I’ve driven by here for years but never stopped. It’s always on my way to town or back home, and never at a time that I’m trying to find something to eat. I finally tried it with some family this week and it did not disappoint. The building is older and it could use some updating, but I see why they have been around for so long and why so many people go there everyday.

The outside is sketchy and the inside is a little run down, but the soul food was spot on. Chicken&Rics and the cheesy broccoli was my favorite. Price wise, about the same as Mother Kelly’s and other sit down places. They also have a $5 special 10/15/2025

Great food, great service. I've been a few times and definitely intend to return as everything I've had has been great! The fried chicken, fried pork chops, the brussel sprouts are incredible and I'm not super excited about them normally, the broccoli cheese casserole and cornbread is great! Some friends had the meatballs and Mac n cheese and pork and gravy with rice and they said it was great also. The lady serving you the food is very friendly. Home cooking down to an art here.

The fried pork chops are very good. Nice little hole in the wall spot with a variety of food options. The prices seem reasonable. The employee asked me if I wanted her to hear up my food. I did no Brevard I was going back to work but she did offer.

I ordered the Oxtail plate—the food itself was good, though it wasn’t served very hot. The service, however, could use improvement. When I asked for a small cup for my beans, the server seemed irritated by my request, which left me feeling uncomfortable. Since my mobility isn’t the best, I only asked because I didn’t want to risk spilling food. Thankfully, my spouse was there to help me carry my tray. Maybe I’m being sensitive, but the interaction didn’t feel right. Interestingly, the customers coming in were actually friendlier than the staff. Which made me give a 2 rating for atmosphere.
