What awesome atmosphere! The food is excellent. Homemade tamales are true Mexican goodness. This is now on our go to restaurants whenever we get close!!!

I went Friday night to see my buddy's band play. The patio was well decorated and nearly every table had a pretty good view of the stage. The stage itself was a little lower than the deck for the patio, so it was like a mini amphitheater. Pretty cool. My wife and I got there after our friends had already been setting up for the show for a while, and right away I noticed that every plate of food across their group's three or four tables was half eaten at best.
I ordered the appetizer sampler and the only thing that was any good were the (more or less unseasoned) wings and the rammekin of ranch. Everything else on the plate was truly awful. It's tacky 80s housewife taco night type crap. Look at some of the pictures posted; it tastes exactly like it looks. Maybe the worst tex mex i have had anywhere.
Bland, bad texture(what should be crunchy is gummy, what should be soft is stale and tough, meats are oily yet dry) and poor choices in ingredients and recipes all around. A little pepper, onion, or cilantro would go a long damn way. Bright yellow cheese and wilted shredded lettuce all over everything. Watery thin salsa with no heat. Cheese dip straight out of a Sam's club can. The salty overload of something like taco bueno would be an upgrade because at least they use salt. Stingy portions of dried out meats and copious amounts of filler ingredients. The aftertaste of an oily corn tortilla. I think an excellent cook couldn't make these dishes work.
This plate, plus my wife's shrimp tacos, took close to an hour to arrive. 53 bucks for two plates, iced tea and a coke. This included a gratuity fee the waitress tipped herself with because we sat with our friends who had been there like an hour. We waited for our drinks for at least 15 minutes until our friend tracked the waitress down at the bar area and got her to bring them. We did not get any refills, fresh chips, or salsa.
The place is neat, but do yourself a favor and get a drink and skip the food. Eat at any other tex mex place in texarkana; there are dozens just minutes away.

Service was good. Food was terrible. The picture is the meat they put on one of my birria tacos if you can even call that meat. The other tacos looked about the same.

First and for most The food was trash. Took an hour to get the food and the food was over priced. If you’re looking for real authentic Mexican food this isn’t the place. Save your money and frustration. Si eres mexicano, hermano corre.

We stopped in on a mid Saturday afternoon. Wish I had taken some pictures!
We had tortilla soup, chicken with cheese, and a taco salad. We all thought our food was excellent. Soup had lots of chicken in it.
Highly recommend this family run busy.
