So the food wasn't great. Tasted a lot like jar pasta sauce, way too sweet, and the chicken on the chicken parmesean tasted like one of those frozen chicken patties. Service once it came was great, waitress was super nice. But there were 4 dirty tables and no servers in sight for a minute or so once we walked in. Oh, and no hot water in the women's bathroom. I know it's freezing out today, but it wasn't a pleasant experience washing my hands in freezing water.
Per my previous review of Monjuni's... The bread does not have enough oil or butter on it. Still.Since it's combined with The Silver Star Smokehouse, the menu is cut. There was no mint tea, which my husband loves. However that might be a good thing, he didn't like how they made it before they moved. The owner said they owned 2 of the restaurants in Shreveport and then they tweaked the menu and opened here. There was nothing wrong with the menu or how the food was...
Our waitress was great! Very nice and attentive. The marinara was so much sweeter than we expected. My husband's chicken parmesan tasted like a frozen patty and my son's italian sausage did not taste good at all. The alfredo sauce was good on the ravioli.
