Wow!! Talk about feeling like you’ve walked back in time! I originally stopped to shop the candy store (yummy candied apples) but couldn’t resist the smell emanating from the restaurant near where I parked. There was a sign outside with their handwritten daily special and I immediately knew it was going to be like having a home-cooked meal. The building is small and there isn’t a lot of seating, but even at lunchtime there were several tables open. It’s not immaculately decorated or filled with kitschy items; it truly feels like you’ve stepped back into the 1960’s. I immediately felt nostalgic for some reason and wish I had traveled there with a group that could dine inside and enjoy it with me. The waitresses were pleasant and told me to sit wherever I liked, and they laughed, hugged, and talked to many of the diners that you could tell were regulars and friends. I advised my server I would be ordering to go and she brought me a menu and told me to take my time. I ordered their grilled cheese sandwich, adding ham, dressed (mayo, tomato, lettuce, - onions) with a side of fried mushrooms with ranch, an order of boudin eggrolls (4 pc) with remoulade sauce, and a large beans with cornbread muffins (onions & jalapeños on the side). All included nice portions sizes and just over $25 for all. I would order any/all again but I’m excited to return and try some of their other menu items and certainly the pie! I didn’t check their reviews prior to leaving mine but I feel confident I’m in the majority singing their praises.

I’m from Spain and I was tired of big chains so I came to this little place and what a nice surprise! The food was amazing (we got sandwiches) and the pie…. Oh the pie! Was one of the best I have ever had. Slow on peak time, yeah. But it worths the wait.
Friendly folks, courteous service, and the best sandwiches that you're going to find anywhere in Crawford county. We have lunch here often

Food was very good! Just couldn't tell if the waitress liked or hated us.. we couldn't quite figure her out.. but will be back and give it another chance because the food was very good.
Homemade bread and an extensive pie list surely showcase all the really amazing work the folks who run this restaurant have put in.

Loved the half burger option! After we walked in for a minute a waitress did say we could have a seat anywhere. Homemade bun was yummy! The slider fries were great. Customer service and refilling your drink is not top priority for them. We weren't the only table who had to ask for a refill. I wasn't about to ask for a to go cup!

We were traveling through the area and decided to give the Kopper Kettle Smokehouse a try. Our lunch was great, and we didn’t think to take pictures before we started scarfing it down. Our boys shared a cheeseburger, my wife had the chipotle chicken wrap, and I had a frito chili pie. We finished it off with a yummy homemade pecan cream cheese pie. The only qualm we had was the wait on the food felt a little slow, but not unbearable. We will be back if we are in the area!

They have no way to tell who came in when and aren't attentive. We came in sat at an empty table, no sign to wait to be seated. We had to flag someone down to help after 5 minutes. We got our menu's then drinks. 2 other tables came after us and they were handled before us. We again had to wave someone down to take our order. A good 20 minutes! It's like we were invisible 🫥 The food was okay. Need a better system.

Everything they serve is great! The homemade hamburger buns are very special with a light sweet taste. The chili is fine ground and meaty, like an old time authentic kind. The burgers and desserts are wonderful. Kopper Kettle Smokehouse will not disappoint you.

Stopped in today with some friends riding motorcycles from Tulsa based on the high reviews. It didn't disapoint. I had a Dagwood sandwich and it might have been the best sandwich I've ever eaten! Friendly fast service too.

A local favorite!! Best food- you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We LOVE the Dagwood sandwich with homemade bread. Our son loves their chicken strips/fries. Pies are a must!! Freshly made, delicious. Smoked turkey sandwich with homemade bread is amazing. They do have daily specials while they last.
