The Parachute Inn has been closed for remodeling. The new owners planned to be opened up by September 1, 2018 and it will be called the Zulu Restaurant. The plane has been painted to represent the plane that landed at the airport in 1964 with the Beatles. The new restaurant will offer farm to table meats and seafood flown in from Louisiana.

This place is closed and it no longer is painted as a Southwest Airlines plane. We went by just to see the plane since we work for SWA and we're very disappointed to see it painted white with red stripe.

Young lady that waited on us . Is awesome she knows the menu very quick to serve and always asked when she walked by if we needed anything.... the young lady ran her legs off back and fourth the the kitchen but was always had a smile on her face.... the good is awesome and he actually got or appetizer before the rest of our meal. The side winders 👍👍👍. And I hear there is more to come a few changes coming with the new owner .. Will be coming back to check it out....this place is now out of business

First time eating a catfish dinner in a 747 airplane. The experience and staff were awesome. The food catfish dinner was pretty good. We were the only ones e here for lunch so it was really quite. If I would have read the reviews I would have probably gotten the fried chicken. They say it is excellent. If you are close its a must stop.

All, this is a restaurant you have got to try out. Food is good, but the attraction is that you are eating in a decommissioned Southwest Airplane. If seating is available, of course. As another plus, this is a very small airport so the younger kids can watch planes taking off and landing a lot closer than normal.

Pretty good food, the fried chicken was excellent and a decent all you can eat buffet. Very unique eating in an airplane fuselage, the wait staff was excellent.

This place is SO worth the drive off the interstate. Atmosphere was great! Service was fantastic! Fish was light and fluffy and the hush puppies...Oh. My. Word! Which it was closer to Little Rock!

Came on a Thursday at 12:45 for lunch. Ordered the buffet: fried chicken, bbq pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn, fried okra, cream gravy, salad and assorted cakes. The fried chicken was nice and crispy, a tad salty, while the green beans were unseasoned, straight from a can. Mashed potatoes were instant: no flavor added. The salad was fresh and dressing tasty. Oh! The fried okra was hot, fresh, and tasty. Pork chops were the highlight. Service was meh though the staff was friendly. The price was right at $5.99 for the buffet. Drink not included. Total bill was $17.10 for 2 people. The menu included burgers, chicken strips, and rib eye steaks. I have uploaded a photo of our food and the menu. Fun atmosphere, needs a little updating (fake greenery and fall leaves table cloth in summer). The other thing is that the menu had food stuck on it and there was a large buildup of dust on the vents as you walk up the stairs to the plane. It was interesting to visit, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

I come to Parachute Inn every single time I'm in town visiting my grandparents. We're always there right when it opens on Saturday, yet the place is almost always already half full. I've never looked at the menu so I'm not sure what else they offer besides the catfish and seafood buffet. But the catfish buffet is pretty great. It comes out hot and fast and there's always plenty of it. It also includes french fries, hush puppies, a salad bar, and a dessert bar with usually about four different types of desserts. For a slightly higher price, you can opt for the seafood buffet which includes the catfish plus shrimp, crawdads(?), and maybe some other stuff which I can't identify. I've never had any of that. It's seat yourself, not the cleanest place around, but you can also dine in a carved out plane that is attached to the main dining room. It's pretty cool and still has the cockpit.
