In the past this place had excellent food, but we were greatly disappointed when we met up with family from across the state. I ordered the chicken fried steak, with gravy on the side. The steak was overcooked, but the gravy was horrific. It was full of sugar! When I questioned the waitress, she said they always made their gravy with sugar! I've lived in the south all my life and made tons of gravy, ordered tons of gravy, and not ONCE have I ever had or made white gravy with sugar! I'm not saying there's not a recipe out there somewhere with sugar, I just have NEVER had any. It was awful, and what about unsuspecting diabetics? Then we ordered cobbler which we've ordered and loved many times in the past. Expecting at least it to be good, considering the price of $7.00, we were dumbfounded when we were brought about three tablespoons of cobbler with most of it a very thick, stale tasting crust, and less than a half small scoop of ice cream. While the waitress was efficient, she was not very friendly, but seemed overly stressed, dismissing our concerns we voiced. We didn't want to upset her further, and we were celebrating a birthday and wanted to remain upbeat, so we didn't complain. Instead I'm sharing our opinion here. I wish them well, and would only hope they can return to the marvelous cooks they used to have in the past. As for now, unless we hear things have changed, we won't be back.

This is the main attraction here . Some of the best food I ate . And some fine southern food around . The lunch special is always the best choice. And the customer service and food both was the best , first class . And your eating at a place been open 4 years before Arkansas was even a state . If these walls could talk the stories they tell . So always stop in for some good food and gifts shop and really awsome place to be in .

Parking: Plenty . No line . Come on in

Kid-friendliness: Great for the entire family .

Some of the best food we have gotten at a restaurant anywhere in America!!! The sides spot on perfect, the chicken excellent, the ribs were good (not the best but good), the hamburger legit, and the peach cobbler was put of this world. All of it tasted like they make it in house. So worth checking out.

This is my second time visiting the Williams Tavern, this time I made sure I took a picture, since I’m visiting out of state. Variety of items, they are all fantastic. It’s been a year since the last visit so I made sure I don’t have any regrets enjoying the buffet! They also have jams and preserves for sale, I bought a cherry preserve and wish I had bought two jars!

We traveled here to visit the washing state park. After eating here for lunch, we would make the drive again just for the food! It was good home cooking. I had the special - pork chop sandwich and it was so good.
