To be clear, we didn't and couldn't eat there. We made a reservation with great anticipation, and we're pleased by the quiet, spacious dining area, almost soundproofed from the casino noises on the other side of the wall. But this restaurant has no consideration for diners' special needs or requests. Bread arrived, quickly...laden with some sort of seeds. One of us suffers from diverticulitis...seeds are a guaranteed trip to the emergency room or worse. "Do you have any other bread options?" "Not at this time." OK then...let's order an entree. The dish my wife wanted - salmon - came with a seed-laden vegetable...again, a non-starter for us. "Can we substitute (something from the long list of a la carte sides)?" "No, no substitutions." What? In a restaurant where the final bill is sure to be north of $100? Are the entrees pre-prepared, with the sides on the plate, waiting for the microwave? At that price point? I know too much about the restaurant business to believe they couldn't accommodate a substitution? Strike two. We didn't wait around for strike three...we got up and left. We did tell the hostess on the way out why we were leaving. She said, "Sure, we could have done a substitution" Tell that to the server...maybe they have training issues too? We've been to many other steakhouses in Metro Memphis, including those at competing casinos, and never run into such an unaccommodating experience. We like Southland but they need to take a serious look at their food options.

This is the only restaurant open in the casino after 11pm. The girls working were very friendly, no complaints there. Took a while to get my to go order but that’s expected since they were the only place open and packed so I wasn’t too upset especially since it seemed like the workers were trying their best. I got the hamburger meal and the fried pickles/okra plate. The burger was good but I just couldn’t shake the taste of everything else that was fried. I don’t know if they share oil with some of the other restaurants but it all tasted like catfish which I hate with a passion ? even the fries. It was still edible but I just wish I passed on it.

This place has hands down some of the best steak in the area. I used to only eat here because I had comps from the casino, but the quality and service has really gone up since this place opened. I usually get the filet, asparagus, and mashed potatoes and it is all spot on every single time. Love the little bit of crunchy char on the outside of the steak. Some may find it a bit salty but it’s perfect for me. I recently had steak at another casino and a reputable pricey steakhouse in Memphis and neither one was even a close second.

I visited around 2am in the morning. The only thing that I wished was different was my beer options. They only had bottles, nothing on tap. However, the food was excellent.

I visited the casino on 6/4/23 at 3:00 AM. The hostess was a short, heavyset, caucasian lady with stringy dark hair. She was very rude and nasty to guests after we had waited in a line for nearly 20 minutes to place an order. They had no tables available and for the previous nights, the hostesses took to-go-orders and advised guests accordingly. This lazy person actually turned guests away instead. I told her that we should be able to order to go. She got defensive and loudly stated to-go is only for people who have hotel keys, then stated loudly anyone has a hotel key who wants to order. Totally ignorant and poorly represents a known establishment with a good reputation. She is going to ruin it. She needs to work in EVS where she doesn't have to deal with customers because she can't handle it. She behaved like a street person. Yes, I wrote it up and will be posting everywhere so people know what's going on there. Management take heed.

We were passing through and turned off I 55 to stay at a nearby hotel. Turns out that all the restaurants off this exit are in the Casino. It was very nicely decorated, and fairly quiet and upscale. You can see the kitchen staff at work through a glass partition. Our server, Silas, was excellent. The drinks were well done. The bread was superb; the Ceasar salads as well (very fresh Romaine and not drowned in overpowering dressing). My cajun shrimp pasta was great - very original, served with house made papardelle and large, plump, perfectly prepared shrimp in a chicken/andouille sausage red sauce with some mild kick to it that kept slowly building. Very flavorful and well done! My spouse had a filet that was just perfection with perfectly flavored and textured mashed potatoes

My husband and I had an amazing experience last night at this restaurant. Sylas was our waiter and he went above and beyond to see to it that our time was special. He recommended the crab cake which was delicious! The cocktails he recommended based on getting to know us were spot on. We also shared a wedge salad and lobster chowder which exceeded our expectations. We split the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner one to remember :) p.s. sorry again for not having room for dessert! Maybe next time!

We had reservations for 6:15 on a Saturday for an early valentines dinner. We were seated promptly after arrival. Atmosphere , ambiance and service were really great ! I had the pasta and shrimp which was delicious and my husband had the cowboy ribeye which he raved about! I also had a wedge salad with candied pork belly which was delicious as well! The prices were reasonable and on par with most local , upscale restaurants. The cocktails were also delicious! The Blue Suede cocktail with the frothy egg white on top was amazing! We would definitley return to dine again!

Had good service but the only thing good to eat was the Caesar salad. All of our steaks and I’m talking 7 steaks, were not cooked as we had requested and were so salty tasting! Way, way overpriced for the quality of food you’re receiving! $700 plus later and I could’ve went to a local steakhouse and gotten better food!

Made a reservation on Opentable and they confirmed. When we got there, there was no one there! Completely closed before 7pm on a Thursday.
