This restaurant isn’t terrible but fixable. It’s clear that the owner has no sort of involvement or dedication to the restaurant. Every time I come the service is alright but there’s always issues with either the menu or prices that could be easily resolved and avoided if they were simply fixed or explained by an owner or manager. After asking the polite waitress if there was an owner or manager available multiple times, it’s always either “they aren’t here” or “they are on vacation”. If you aren’t able to be someone in charge who is present or capable of resolving issues then hire someone who can. fix the menu, be there for your workers & customers, and BE HERE. the food is fine but just needs better management & ownership.

I am not one to typically leave a review even with a bad experience but this was horrible.
We called ahead for a table of 9 and they said that they would have it ready. They didn't. Then we got in there and they never gave us menus after waiting for a while. I had to go get them myself and our silverware. Then we were passed several times and never asked for refills. I had to go get our refills. Then our food was brought out INCORRECTLY with items missing. I worked our whole table so when we paid i asked them not to add gratuity since i worked the table. The cashier said that is not how it works and i told her then i want the tip since i worked the table. She ignored me and said my total was $59.60. I asked if that was the tip included she said no and then proceeded to run my card for $68.00.
This was INCREDIBLY HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! The wait staff were rude and ignored our whole table!
To top it all off.. they werent even busy! 🙄

Typically we would go there and have a nice meal but tonight when we went there it was terrible. First we found prices went up alot! The new menu doesn't give any information on ingredients anymore and I have a lot of allergies. So I ordered a quesadilla and ended up getting a tortilla with 6 pieces of shrimp on it and nothing else...no veggies or rice. The drink prices more than doubled and when we asked about it the waitress was very rude. She delivered my food and never came back again. It was a very bad experience and we won't go back again.
The food and drinks were amazing as always. However, they’ve gone up too much in price! The new menu does NOT show what ingredients are in each menu item, which is an issue for me as there are some food items that I am not allowed to have anymore. Food is always wonderful! And has been for years! It is consistent, and when it comes to Mexican restaurants, even from those I have been to in other states, Ameca is always the best! Maria has always been a very attentive, kind, and wonderful server. The owner as well is wonderful. I don’t know the new younger waiters and waitresses, but the only thing I can say there is that they need to be more friendly. My family has been going to Ameca ever since it first opened, and one thing we appreciated is the personal touch that the staff had with their diners. We felt like family. We still do with Maria and the owner, (which I forget her name), but the younger staff needs more training on how to engage better with customers and make them feel more at home. More friendly and welcoming. Overall, we still love Ameca, and I am sure we always will.
