Some of the best BBQ you can find within the Ozarks. Hillbilly Slim's is currently in the rebuilding stages after their fire that destroyed the original building, but have stayed open as much as they can between the days they been doing construction. Doc (the owner) has been going through tough times between the fire and a heart attack not long after the fire had happened, and just the stress of rebuilding his beloved restaurant. Hillbilly Slim's is located in the rural Ozark Mountains but you have so many outdoor actives just a few miles in any direction from this place, with hiking, camping, off-roading, mountain biking, swimming, and horseback riding, not to forget all the waterfalls within this area.

Deserves no stars Absolutely the worst bbq I have ever eaten and the baked beans were worse than the bbq not sure but I think they just heated up some pork and beans in the microwave would never ever recommend this place for their bbq or what they called baked beans sign said recipes came from a master chef well I think they need to find a new chef

We made the drive from Jonesboro to discover that their building had burned down. However they are rebuilding. They currently have a food truck outside and are working to meet their customers needs. There were a few side out items that they were out of, but they said there was a truck running later that day.
I had brisket, okra, and beans. The brisket and the okra were amazing. The beans were not what I was looking for. My husband got the ribs, onion rings and the beans as well. His ribs were some of the most meaty and tender ribs we have seen in a while.
We were highly impressed by the food and the customer service. We will be back to try more items on the menu. We highly recommend this place to anyone no just in the area. But for the a drive in your jeep!!
