Duplexes are clean with great views! Managerment is super friendly and helpful. Need new screen doors and better locks.

I went to Buffalo Point on the Buffalo River. I hiked the Overlook Trail and followed the Forest Trail down to the river. The hike was about 2.5 miles down to the river and back. If you have inexperienced hikers, or young kids pace yourself because the trip to the river is mostly downhill. Coming back, all up hill, takes a lot more effort. Overlook Point is beautiful. A great place to stop for a moment and take it all in. The journey to the river is a great hike as well. The water is crystal clear and cold. If you have not seen the Buffalo River and all it's beauty you have missed out.

We ate at this restaurant after hiking the Indian Rockhouse trail. It's just beyond the trail head, a very convenient location. My husband and I ordered the grilled cat fish and I have to say it was the best we have ever had! Melt in your mouth delicious ?. The salad bar wasn't really great... wouldn't recommend..but considering everything else with our experience I still give them 5 stars. O, and the views... Breathtaking!! Windows all around the restaurant look out over the Buffalo River and it's so pretty. Also service was really good .

Was disappointed when we drove all the way there to eat at the restaurant at 7:20pm and it was closed already. And it says it closes at 8pm

This place is the absolute best! The cabins are just exactly what you need for a family when you want to float the buffalo! The lodge units are the cutest small rooms I've ever aeen! We go every year to these cabins. And the view from the restaurant is so amazing!!! Pics are views from the deck of our cabin

We ate at the restaurant here and it was a nice little country restaurant with a great view. The dishes were typical and there was also a salad bar. It seemed like a lot of locals came here often.

Buffalo Point Cabins Review

This was my second time to stay at the cabins. The location is great, a mile from the river. Last year the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay with zero issues.

This year was a completely different experience Apparently , the entire concessions are under new management. The staff were rude, intrusive and just gave us the impression that we were an annoyance to them. They would come by at least once a day to either scold us for a pile of dog poop we hadn't cleaned up yet, or repeatedly remind us of rules. The last day was awful. We admittedly got out of the cabin a little later than the checkout. We were first told by the cleaning lady to take our time. Then we were reprimanded as we were leaving.

The icing on the cake is an extra charge they put on my credit card. Apparently our dogs stepped or laid on a towel and it was apparent my dog slept on the couch. The management were very upset that we didn't open the dog package they gave us, but didn't explain in advance that it had covers for them if they got on the furniture. We didn't open it because we brought our own dog beds.

I will not be staying here again, there are plenty of cabins close by.

It really sucks the quality of the restaurant tanked too. We got hush puppies with ice in the middle and the usually excellent catfish was mushy and under-cooked.

I came here with my husband and granddaughter Love the river access and the restaurant but when we got to the rooms it went down south the bathroom was so small you could not move then we came back from outside we started getting ready for bed my granddaughter was checking for bed bugs to be funny and then when she ripped off the comforter to the sheet she sawn hairs all in the bed and pillows so we new the did not clean the sheets kinda disappointed definitely come here just check the beds and there was bugs all over the place!! Wish I could have enjoyed it better than I did.

We only ate at the restaurant which does close at 8:00 p.m.. Honestly for the very remote and beautiful location where you are this restaurant was amazingly good. There aren't any other restaurants around within 20 or 30 miles of very windy roads. We didn't expect much walking in but the food and the salad bar were tasty with a great view of the river below. The staff were friendly I must say I would return in a heartbeat.

This review is only for the cabins, the restaurant was closed when we went. The cabins were very nice and affordable. They were centrally located next to a few trails and a bunch of canoe/kayak rental shops. I will say I was surprised to see two of the beds were located outside on an enclosed patio. It didn’t effect us but something to think about if it’s very cold or hot when your going.

Stayed at campsite #21, section A, not cabins. (No reservations required here - first come, first serve. 24'- 33') Bathrooms with showers. Short walk behind camp to bluff with view of the river. Two bald eagles visited several times. We did several of the hiking trails. Good hikes and not too strenuous. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
