Love this place! Excellent food, friendly people. Their hours are a little unusual, so be sure to check what times they are open before heading there.

08/2025 UPDATE - Still the best restaurant in the area, IMHO. If you love chickens, you will love the decor in this place. There are various chickens made from ceramics and other materials on shelves on the walls and other places.

The menu is nicely varied. Particularly good are their eggs & chorizo, burritos, carne asada, and other favorites. It's THE place to go when you're in Ajo, Sells, and especially if you're heading down to Puerto Piñasco!

Abbodanza, everyone!

I am Mexican and I approve this message 😊
I chose a carne asada burrito and my husband decided to go with white menudo. Both were good in flavor. Ladies were welcoming and friendly. We’ve passed by this place many times and we decided to make a stop this time. They have a wide selection from biscuits and gravy to machaca and eggs for breakfast. I would return 👍🏻 It was a Sunday morning and we were served quickly.

This little gem is a great place to get lunch when you're coming back from Rocky Point. We always stop for lunch here when we return home from RP. The food is delicious and it's clean and has plenty of seating. There's only one women's bathroom, but it's large and really clean and has lotion and bathroom spray. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

It’s the only option around… including Ajo, but they deliver! All of the immigration officers were in there ordering food if that says something, it’s really good.
The burrito didn’t look exciting but it was a great homemade flour tortilla and filled with meat, sauce, and great flavor. I’d come back for this.
The ladies running the place are nice people… viva la Mexico 🇲🇽

HOW DARE YOU SCREAM AT ME TO REMOVE MY Medical alert, service dog. You are in the United States and not Mexico, but obviously you have no idea that a service animal has the same right as any individual walking into your place. She is covered under the American disability act, and that is a federal law. I will now make sure everyone knows how you treated me and Lacey.

This is a great place to stop for a bite on the way to Rocky point. We had taco salad beef steak and Menudo and they were all fantastic. I recommended highly

**Review of Granny’s Kitchen in Ajo, Arizona**

Granny’s Kitchen in Ajo, Arizona is a charming, albeit older, spot that delivers on cleanliness despite its worn appearance. The service, however, left much to be desired. With only one waitress managing the entire restaurant, the service was understandably slow. She was incredibly busy and, unfortunately, never checked on us after serving our food.

On a brighter note, the food was quite good. Debi thoroughly enjoyed her omelette, while my huevos rancheros were absolutely delicious. The food quality definitely stands out.

Despite the slow service, we plan to return. Debi is especially looking forward to trying their lunch offerings, particularly their mole sauce.

Cute little place. Seems popular with the locals. The machaca was very dry, but mixing it up with the beans and the amazing salsa made it palatable. The flour tortilla was also very good. I'd eat here again, but I'd probably try something else on the menu.

Very poor service. Slow and disrespectful attitude. Food was ok. After getting food the waitress never visited us again. Won't go to this place ever again.
