We got food 2 nights in a row- Friday we were a walk-in and were told we could order a pizza and eat quickly because tables were reserved, but we were instead brought an undercooked pizza to go and asked to leave. Iāve never seen a restaurant annoyed when being asked if they had availability until then. Still, weāve eaten there before so we gave them another chance. The second night, Saturday, we got 2 bumblebee stews and a piece of cheesecake to go, and my girlfriend waited an hour while other orders-both take out and sit down- were served despite ordering after her. One table came in 10-15 min after her and ordered, finished their meal and paid, completing their entire meal before she got our food. Finally, after inquiring multiple times, the bartender brought the food out, which was cold and one of the soups spilled all over inside the bag. While we arenāt up in Alpine year round, we have a family cabin where someone is almost always up there, and after these experiences, I donāt think weāll be returning, which is unfortunate, because the environment can be fun with the life music.

The food and waitress were great, although every time we go it seems a bit short staffed and wait staff is scrambling. After we finished eating we decided to get a drink at the bar - we asked who we assume is the owner (older man) if that was okay and he said come on in. The bar was full of dirty drinks (totally fine though since we just wanted a quick drink and to leave), but when we walked up the bartender (older lady with gray hair and black eyebrows) looked us up and down and when we asked if we could get a quick drink she rolled her eyes and very rudely remarked āreally? Are you serious?!ā As she alluded to the dirty drinks on the bar and continued to sneer at us. We told her that was very rude and the waitress who happened to be behind her looked mortified by her remark. The bartender then said āI guess I can make you oneā we then decided it was best not to bother her anymore and left. Very rude bartender- and when mentioned to friends they said they have experienced malservice from that specific bartender also. I hope sheās not their only bartender.

My pastrami Reuben was very generous and had the freshest sauerkraut! Served with one of the best coleslaws Iāve enjoyed. My boyfriend enjoyed the Chicken Fried steak. We both gobbled up the green chili cheese curds too! Highly recommend their current cocktail the blackberry lemonade. š¹
We grabbed a peach cobbler dessert to go!
It felt like we were dining with old friends with the way other customers and staff were welcoming us. Besides the amazing service and overall welcoming and comforting atmosphereā meeting the restaurant dogs was the highlight of my evening. š¶ Riley is the best employee making sure she keeps the floors clean from any food that has fallen from plates.

Highly recommend. We were looking for a place where we could eat lunch during a visit this summer to the White Mountains, preferably outside where we could get the dogs out of the hot car. Foxfire doesnāt have outdoor seating but they welcomed us with the dogs to the inside corner table and gave the dogs treats and water! The dĆ©cor is super cute with ranch mountain look. Food was fantastic with generous portions. My husband and I split the pastrami sandwich, glad we did! Staff is attentive and friendly and gave us recommendations for a scenic drive nearby. The dining area is large plus there's a bar. The modern bathrooms are outside in a shed thatās been done up super funny. Parking is sort of limited along the side street and the main street through town but not a problem for us to find a space on a lazy weekend day.
