Phat Turtle KC BBQ

Holy moly was the food so good. The corn bread first of all ?? fire it was so yummy. My kids loved the Mac and cheese and the portions are a very good size for the price. I had the pulled pork grilled cheese…. I swear my soul left my body and went to a bbq utopia. They give you different types of bbq sauce and the sweet mama and the tangy one put together… again chefs kiss. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and you would have thought he was a bear in his natural habit. That sandwich had no chance once he took the first bite. Let’s just say everything was delicious and smelled like bbq heaven. The owner Mike came by to check on us and was so nice and sweet taking to my kids and playing with them a very kind man. Our server as well we very sweet and they even have a little game for the kids to play where they count beanie babies and if they get the number right they get to pick one to take home! New favorite BBQ SPOT!

I went there on Saturday. Food was good. Table were clean. I was upset that they let a customer take there dog into the restaurant. I noticed it when the dog tried to jump onto the table. It also bark several times. I was not a service animal and had no business in the restaurant. To top it off the staff did nothing about it. I won’t be going back.

The food was delicious! ❤️ And the employees were nice. I enjoyed the brisket sandwich and salad with my mom & my dear friend.The only thing that they need to update is the map of the location. Although the employee said that they already reported it.Anyhow, the restaurant is in between Anthem nails and Wild hair salon in front of Chase.Enjoy!

How exciting for Anthem! This BBQ restaurant is excellent, the ownersMike and Kelly are courteous and appreciative of your support. The food was Amazing, the dining area was authentic and comfortable, the outside patio had atmosphere and live music, you can't not enjoy this establishment and last but not least the GM Amanda and the service staff are excellent. Come visit and enjoy some KC BBQ and hometown hospital, you'll be glad you did

Bad food, awful owner. Saw three plates of food go back while I was there 2 for bad Mac and cheese, 1 for dried ribs. My burnt ends were burned. The owner sat a foot away from me with no mask on bragging about being unvaccinated and calling anyone vaccinated idiots and sheep! After taking a tour of his kitchen I denied his offer for a job. Couldn’t in good conscience work there after witnessing the staff using the same knife on different meats and never cleaning it, the cutting board was filthy along with the floor. Front end was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly but the owner Mike was unbearable.

Awesome BBQ! And straight from Kansas City! Burnt ends were amazing, brisket beans, Mac n cheese. Don't forget the peach cobbler, homemade from scratch
