Just wanted to remind everyone, the owner Mo refused service to a combat veteran with a service dog..
As we finished our lunch, were leaving The Hitching Post the owner pulled in and looked right at me and just about hit me (about an inch or so away) while I was standing in the parking spot I was in after my man pulled my bike to face the direction we were Pullin out to.
So naturally I flip him off and he rolls his windows down and the. GETS OUT OF HIS CAR and gets in my man’s face talkin about hes the owner and were in his way and to leave before he calls the cops 🤪
Luckily a lady with her baby saw everything that happened
Idk who taught this man customer service, but it wasn’t very good lol

This is the only place to visit if you're visiting Arizona for the first time or the last time, and any time in between! The food is amazing, the owner is the most attentive and kind guy you could meet and the staff are nothing short of that either. You meet Sam (bartender) once, and he'll remember your name whenever you come back. They have live bands, live bullriding (not that mechanical shtuff..), and much more. If you want to get a real taste of the west, of Arizona, this spot's one you dont want to miss.
The atmosphere is fun and lively. The food is what you would expect at a location such as it is it did arrive cold to us. The server said he couldn’t find us. Outside of that the drink prices were good and overall fun place to go. The outside area was great to enjoy a drink and hold a conversation. However, the inside being so small with a live band was incredibly loud.
Fun place to dine and dance.
Great place. Amazing atmosphere. Exceptional service. And delicious food. Plus they have a bull riding arena
Rustic atmosphere roasted chicken was to die for! Our bartender/ server was attentive definitely go again!!
Good pizza and broadted wings!
Didn’t care for the way the owner treated the customer .
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. One star for our waitress, Alaisha- who was kind and hustling. She came out to greet us (after a long wait) and we were told dogs were not allowed except for service animals. Yes-

Crappy service and not kid friendly. We sat and waited 30 minutes and still didn’t get a waiter when I went over to ask if someone could take our order the waitress told me she was Busy.
I’ve debated on whether or not to post this but at the end of the day, I hope it helps the hitching post and its future customers. I also hope it helps people spend a little more time learning about this particular topic. Yesterday, I was denied service because of my service dog. For context, I try not to go anywhere with my service dog without her vest to avoid stressful conversations. Sometimes however, unplanned things happen. (Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) details that your service dog doesn’t have to wear a vest.) Typically in these situations I walk into the establishment and have a short conversation with the staff explaining the situation and everything is fine. At the Hitching Post however, this was not the case. To make a long story short I was yelled at by the owner who very clearly didn’t understand what a service dog is. After gesturing to a sign outside his establishment that detailed service dogs only and how emotional support dogs don’t qualify he angrily walked away telling my grandmother and I to leave. This entire time I was trying to explain to him that my dog is, in fact, a service dog. She’s trained to do a few different tasks for me, regardless of whether or not she’s wearing her vest. I even offered to show him the Department of Transportation form I use to fly with her with him continuously interrupting and not listening. In the end, we had to leave because while what happened was illegal it was not worth the fight. I do recognize that it was a busy time at the hitching post and that can be stressful, but that doesn’t excuse the belligerent behavior that was shown, in front of multiple other patrons no less. Not everyone who uses a service dog appears to be disabled. That doesn’t mean there aren’t medical reasons behind having a service dog. I don’t want to detail out everything that is in the ADA but I please ask that everyone take the time to do a quick search and research for yourself, including the owner of hitching post who didn’t know what he was talking about. I also ask that anyone who pretends to have a service dog so they can bring their dog anywhere they want to please stop. I get it I do, but it makes it that much harder for those of us who actually use them. As for returning to hitching post I don’t think I ever will. I’m in town visiting my grandmother and there are so many other places to visit during my short time here. I do hope that the ownership will take the time to learn more about service dogs so that this doesn’t happen to anyone in the future.
Awful experience entirely due to the owner of this place.
He came at our table and once we politely asked whether they have or not a vegetarian option for a burger, he laughed at me and told me if I want that stuff "I need to go to the mountains and grab some plants".
Kept on laughing and said something else I didn't pay attention to, right before going back to the kitchen.
Also, nobody warned us we would pay for re-filling our sodas so that came as a surprise to.
Definitely I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who's interested in being treated respectfully

Family and I live in the area. We camped at Lost Dutchman for daughter's birthday. We had seen the packed parking lot for hitching post and Tina's breakfast on the way in so we decided to stop there on the way out. We gave our daughter a choice between the two restaurants and she picked the one with pizza.
When we went in we were greeted with a smile and my kids were enamored with how much there was to see all of the place. Everything on the menu looked really good so we were really excited. While we were waiting for our food my daughter was floating the idea of coming back the very next night for her birthday dinner, bringing her grandparents with us.
But then once we got our food it was like we ceased to exist. The waitress did eventually come over and check on it at which point we asked for drink refills. We were informed that they don't do drink refills. You just buy another drink. So we only got drinks for the kids. We asked for a to-go pizza box and it eventually came with the check. Like 20 minutes later! I saw at least two other servers. As for patrons, they're anywhere from 2 to 4 at the bar and one other table of people. In other words, it was not busy.
As we were standing up to leave, my kids picked up their drink cups and I asked for lids. Mind you the sodas were served to us in clear plastic disposable cups like short Solo cups. The server stopped us and informed us that we're not allowed to take drinks out.
So decor was fun. Food was tasty. Service made us feel tolerated, not welcome
