La Gitana was partly responsible for our current move to Arivaca! As you've probably read, it's been around for 80 plus years… and continues to get rave reviews for its food, service, and warm, inviting atmosphere. The few times we visited, the bartenders were college students or recent grads, who enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and friendly town folks in Arivaca. The cook was a charming young woman who grew up in Arivaca, moved to the big city (Tucson) for a while, but was drawn back by the unique sense of community and sunny spirit that you'll find in Arivaca. Besides a dance hall and saloon, at various times the building has been used for a church, a courtroom, a store, a hay barn, and a restaurant. La Gitana has been used as a setting in a novel, and visited by folks from all over the world, many by word of mouth, and others, like us, who just wandered in and fell in love! They frequently have live music out on the patio, so we’re looking forward to meeting our neighbors and enjoying good food, good music and good company!

We came to play pool and listen to music The remote was handed to me and told me I can control it after we put on our music selection they turned off the music outside and kept continuing to turn it down inside so I'm not going to support a small business like that when I feel like I'm not even welcome don't have a jukebox if you're not willing to listen to the music that it's on it and that what I paid for

I was inpatient trying to get the work day done and over with just passing back and forth back and forth however the atmosphere was extraordinarily peaceful allowed me to clear my mind while my partner grab the Sprite

We were on a mission. We had our Visit Canoa map in hand and ready to see new places. The first stop was the Canoa Ranch rest area. Our goal was to make it to Arivaca Lake sometime around lunchtime. It was a beautiful drive out to the lake. We saw. We took some pics. We were ready for food. On the way back, we stopped in at La Gitana Cantina. We walked in and were promptly greeted by the bartender/server. The manager was also there and came to our table to visit and fill us in on some history, some menu items, and some refreshing drinks. For us at that moment in time and space-it was first class. The food was good. The drinks cold and refreshing. The atmosphere, imagining the dance hall atmosphere of its day, was comfortable. We will definitely go back to La Gitana.

Order a berger to go and they kept everything separate so my burger was fresh and not mushy thanks great burgers too
They charged me $1:00 to use a credit card with no fore warning. Credit cards should not cost more to use especially that much! The hamburger tasted as though it was precooked and warmed up. The potato salad tasted as though it was from Costco. I did like the atmosphere.

Way awesome little bar! Good bar food menu, Awesome Bartender 👌 and cool south west atmosphere!....we will be back!..wife also won the roll the dice bar game on our second trip in! She bought the house a round!!
