The place is nice, but the food is not good. I ordered the green chili chimichanga and it tasted like soft carton. No other flavor. the carne asada tacos were ok.

Hair was found in my salsa. The waitress admitted it was a hair and did not express sympathy nor offered to comp a meal or salsa. She casually giggled saying it's a usual habit at restaurants. I threatened Health and Food Admistration for the flies on my chips and hair. The waitress then argued with me that the hair was a piece of vegetable. After her admitting it was hair, then she becomes unaccountable for Health codes and safety. Pest control and violations. The whole shebang with a new neighbor to Avondale I put my trust tmin them and they argue with a new resident. Karma.

Cafe Zamora is a favorite of the locals in the area! There are always customers in the restaurant. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly! Food is delicious and always hot! Chips and salsa are always served and always fresh. Salsa has just enough heat. No alcohol but sodas are very generous in size. Pictured is a plate with 3 tacos, rice and beans and the other is one taco, a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. This is one of our favorite 'go to' restaurants.

Went there for breakfast this morning. Ordered the rib eye breakfast. Food came out and while server Carmen is still placing plates on the table for the rest of my party, I notice a hair in my steak. I pulled it out in front of her and she took it back. Didn’t apologize or anything. When she came back around I asked her for a menu to order something else instead. She brought the menu promptly but then never returned. She would go around to the tables but avoided ours. About 35 minutes into waiting I called her over and asked “were you planning on returning to take my order.” She said very rudely “I’ll be right back” came back a few minutes later and wanted to take my order. By this time the two others I was with were done eating, so I said “never mind tare done eating.” She smirked and walked away. Horrible customer service!!!!
