Absolutely Disgusted – First and Last Time!
I was excited to try Mandy’s Fish and Chips for the first time, but this was hands down one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. The fish was completely inedible — dry, hard, stale, and clearly old. It was so tough and chewy I couldn’t even bite into it. I ended up having to throw the entire order away. Total waste of money. I don’t know how anyone could serve food in that condition and think it’s acceptable. Beyond disappointed — never again.

Fantastic food at a reasonable cost.

Friendly staff and quick service. Fish is fresh and delicious. Just a heads-up: they seldom open at the posted opening times. If you're coming from afar or in a time crunch for lunch, it's best to call ahead and check if they are open.

We had the cornmeal catfish (amazingly moist and tender inside with crispy outside) and the battered and cornmeal cod (so crispy and not in the least bit greasy). Hush puppies had a delicious zing and it was a great fresh meal!!

The shop isnt that big but their food is amazing 😍😍 much much better than any of the other fish and chips around

Great food. Service sucks. Women at the register disgusting attitude. Give it back, and she will simmer down.

The Mandee's in Avondale was rude bad service restaurant dirty and they only give you two sauces for a 6-piece

My wife got some fried cat fish and chips ...she said they were fried to perfection and were delicious ..if you haven't Tried there fried catfish give it a try ...

Me and my friend were so excited to try this place but we wouldn’t recommend going. First we get in, and are told all orders are to go. Then the lady taking the orders had the worst attitude and was acting like it was an inconvenience for us to be there. We were the first ones to place our order at 7:18. After we order, it got busy. We watched the every single person that came in after us, get their food. We we were literally the first ones to place an order but the last ones to get our food. We didn’t get our food until 7:54. When the lady handed us our order she didn’t say anything, not even a “sorry for the wait”. We even asked her for extra sauce and she wanted to charge us .25 cents! Like we didn’t just wait 30 plus minutes for our food. I was hoping the food would make up for the wait, but it was so bland and felt like freezer food. Will not be back! Promise you, you can go to Pete’s fish and chips for half the price and better customer service.

First time trying this place out and was not disappointed! I saw a TikTok food review and came that same day !! Happy I found that video ! The only other place I would go to is Pete’s fish and chips but this is way better !! Love how everything was made fresh ! Love the crinkle fries ! Tried the cod and the breading was amazing reminded me of a chicken strip !! The shrimp was my absolute favorite!!
