I finally decided to make the drive from Tombstone, AZ to see if they lived up to the hype...they didn't. After a 25 minute drive, I expected more than mediocre, barely filled donuts that went stale within 24 hours. They were good, but for the almost $50 I paid for 2 dozen donuts, they should last, have some filling and not be greasy. The fritters tasted like apple, but didn't actually have any fruit in them. All the filled donuts had maybe one bite of filling in them.

I have been going back and forth from Tucson to el paso tx for the last 10 years and always have to stop and get my fill of sweets from this donut shop!! I love every single thing that is the cases.

Despite arriving around midday when selections were more limited, Benson's donuts did not disappoint. Each member of our family still found a donut to suit their tastes. What sets these donuts apart is their remarkably light, airy texture. Such a satisfying treat that leaves you feeling pleasantly indulged rather than weighed down. Well worth stopping off in Benson for!
