I have been a regular customer for lunch for the last 2 months as I was working in the area. The food is excellent and the servers are the best! Nice hometown business. Please consider supporting your hometown businesses like the cookie jar before corporate chains. Keep your money local. I give this restaurant my five stars!

A great place to dine with our kids! My parents visited and took my children and loved their visit, they went back 2 or 3 times that week! I went with my husband and our five kids and they were so kind to us. The food was SO good! I had a really great chicken salad and everyone was pleased with their food. They had coloring books for the kids to choose from and complemented us on how well behaved our children (5, 5, 7, 8, & 13) were and offered them a treat on our way out. They were probably the friendliest restaurant we visited during our 9 month stay in Casa Grande!

The food was really good. The hostess was great. Brought our drinks and kept the coffee cups full. The server was not great. Did not keep the sodas filled. Did not bring back items asked for, salsa, ketchup, and hot sauce. Did not check in on us after we got our food.

We went back to give this place a second chance. I am sorry to report that we will never go back. Waited forever for our order, people all around us got theirs. Hamburgers were so overcooked that there was no flavor. Service was spotty at best. Just not our cup of tea

If I could go 4.5 that would be the spot. Overall the breakfast was good - the corned beef is very worthy. I found my biscuit to be great unlike others have. Only food complaint would be lack of warm plates, a common thing for small restaurants and there's no reason for it.Service was acceptable. Not super fast but not slow. Clearly the staff has a system that works albeit a little awkward. The atmosphere could be a little bit nicer. The overall layout of the tiny front room and a counter for three just seems rather awkward. The men's room is rather grimy... I don't think anyone's wiped the walls or doors down in years.I don't know that I would make a point of coming back again. However I can't discourage anyone from trying it.

Ended up here after a not so great experience with another restaurant close by. Mike and his crew made everything better. From a nice greeting right when we walked in the door to yummy treats and delicious food! Highly recommend!!

Their food was a good by the time we got it. They don't have a whole lot of employees waiting on people. I think the manager probably does most of the work including carrying food out to people's cars for them there to go orders. I'm not sure, but it probably took us 15 minutes just to get a girl to come over and see what we wanted to drink. But on all they have great pastries and their croissants are wonderful. If you're in a big hurry, probably not a good place to stop. Bathrooms could use a little cleaning. But other than that, they're functional. They do have great cookies and pastries though. Hence the name cookie jar.

We just celebrated my husband's 68th Birthday here. 1/2 of the party lived in Tucson and 1/2 lived in Phoenix. This was our first time in downtown Casa Grande. We were impressed with this old fashioned downtown area, but especially with this little gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly and kind. Our waitress even sang Happy Birthday and did the final touches on the carrot cake that I had made. I have never left a 30% tip before, but our server truly deserved it. Love this place and can't wait to return.Wheelchair accessibility: Had no problem taking my 97 YO mom for breakfast with her wheelchair on

Came in on a whim while I was in the area. It smelled amazing in here. I wasn't able to stay for breakfast, but I got a few of their cookies, which were, hands down, the best cookies I've ever had. Prices seemed reasonable. I will definitely be back to try their breakfast too.
