We had a group of 5 and we got there right when it opened on a Saturday. Service was terrific and the food was delicious. We had quesadillas, pulled pork sandwiches and burgers. Everything was really good and we all talked about coming back again!

Bubb’s Grub is awesome! It’s been a regular go-to for my wife and me but I thought I should point out why. First of all, the service is phenomenal. We are treated like absolute royalty. It feels like being home all the servers (shout out to Cole and Delaney in particular, but really we get excellent service from every one of the servers and I don’t remember all their names), all the managers, they’re all great. They anticipate our needs and they exceed our expectations and our expectations are pretty high in the first place. Just always a good time when we eat here.

Now, the food. Yes, the barbecue is excellent. The juicy brisket is indeed juicy and flavorful. The barbecue chicken is delicious delicious well seasoned and tender. But the steak is outstanding as well - really flavorful really tender, cooked to the temperature you asked for an absolutely delicious. And really a very reasonable price - don’t sleep on the steak.

Another dish you shouldn’t sleep on is the burger because it’s also great - very flavorful. And the french fries are crispy and hot. They’re the crinkle cut type and they’re really good.

The chili is also excellent and so are the tobacco onions. Those are an excellent appetizer or an accompaniment for certain dishes.

Wine list is pretty good as well

You can see why this is easily such a nice place to dine. And that’s why we keep returning.

NOT AUTHENTIC Texas BBQ. Although the decor is set up to make you think that, the server informed me the owners were from Wisconsin. That explains the addition of Wisconsin food items on the menu. No Texan would ever do that.

It was waaaay overpriced. I'm from New Braunfels Texas, and not even at Black's or Saltlick would I pay $25 for a two meat plate unless it was all you could eat or offered more than what was given here.

I knew what I was in for after finding out their chicken fried steak is not homemade. That's the true test of an authentic Texas restaurant, in my opinion.
No self-respecting Texan would ever serve pre-made steaks... ever.

I chose the 2 meat plate instead, the brisket and chicken with potato salad and mac and cheese.
The food came out ever so slightly warm, red flag.
The brisket was good. You could tell it had been smoked at least 16 hours, like it should be, that's why you get 2 stars for food.
The chicken was dry, it fell off the bone but was overcooked,
I'm not sure what region that potato salad was from, but it isn't Texas.
The mac and cheese was made of penne pasta and cheese sauce, super disappointing. It's really easy to make good proper mac and cheese, a short cut here was a big fail.
Only 1 slice of bread for a two meat entrée? Really?
Even the sweet tea had a funny taste. I switched over to Pepsi instead. I hate Pepsi.

The mild BBQ sauce was on point, the mustard sauce was good, but the Bubb's brand mop sauce was a vinegary mess. That's definitely not a Texas sauce. They say they've won awards for it, but I bet none came from Texas.

All in all, it was a disappointing experience. If you've been to Texas and have had authentic BBQ, you'll know that I'm being fair in my assessment.
If you want to promote yourself as an authentic Texas barbecue restaurant, then I'm going to judge you as such. You can put up all the decorations you want but the proof is in the food.

As they say back home, you can put a dress on a pig and slap some lipstick on it, but a pig is still a pig.

Not as good as it once was. The meat tasted weird and my wife and I both got sick. I won’t be going back. Short staffed, slow service. Employees were not very happy to be working clearly.

I was doing work in SaddleBrooke and pulled off to Bubb Grub for lunch. I don't usually leave reviews but Karter and Regan was amazing. I highly recommend this place.

I ordered a small plate of meat and wanted a piece of bread that they charged me two dollars for. If you order a full plate of meat only, Wouldn't you think you would need a piece of bread with that appetizer plate. The bread should come with the meal. I asked for more barbecue sauce and they charged me. Come on people it's a barbecue place. Would not recommend this place will not be going back.

Not what I was hoping for. The food was just okay and the restaurant atmosphere was not the greatest. Service at the table was good. I feel like there's better options in the area for dinner.

We stumbled upon Bubb’s Grub on the way back from exploring Oracle and Biosphere 2, and what a fantastic surprise it turned out to be. My wife is originally from Missouri, so anytime there's BBQ on the radar, we’re there — and Bubb’s absolutely delivered.

We started with the Japan Poopers as an appetizer, and they were downright delicious — packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick to wake up the taste buds.

For our main, we shared the three-meat combo and went with the brisket, hot links, and pork ribs. Every bite was on point. The brisket was tender and juicy, full of smoky depth. The hot links were savory with just the right hint of spice, and the pork ribs? Fall-off-the-bone perfection. You could tell everything was slow-cooked with care and tradition.

From the welcoming staff to the hearty, flavorful food, Bubb’s Grub is a BBQ joint we’ll be talking about for a while. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near the area — it’s well worth it.
