Our server, Chris, was outstanding. Appetizers, entrees and desserts prepared just right. Well appointed country western environment.

We spent Thanksgiving in Arizona as a family, and we made reservations months in advance. While we were expecting an overpriced fixed menu, we didn’t expect them to run out of one of the three entree choices! They made a substitution, and everything was strictly mediocre... Our parents have had a good experience in the past, but this experience was less than desirable! Overpriced, strictly average food, and service was just okay...

Steak was mostly stringy and grissel!! and waiter was rude to me not everyone. Never taking company there again or recomend the place! Too many other great places to eat!!

We went for Thanksgiving dinner. They ran out of one of the three choices of entrees. The manager/owner would rather argue than anything. He was very unprofessional and walked off. I have eaten at this restaurant for over fifteen years. Today was my last trip there.

Love love love this place!! Ownership / staff are exceptional. Cuisine offerings are superb. Atmosphere is perfect. But don't go there, because I will be completely bummed out if I can't get a seat in the bar whenever I want

The best food in all of Arizona. The chef team pays extreme attention to every detail, and it shows. It has everything from the beautiful plating, fresh local foraged food, and calling it deliciously artistic is an understatement. Go here for an amazing culinary adventure that brings the best ingredients into amazing classics.

To start had the crab cakes let me say outstanding. My husband order the sashimi so tasty. I had the shrimp very good and husband order the Trio of meat and mushrooms on the side and carrots to tasty. Very surprized!! Been traveling for two months and been to a few restaurants so unhappy with the quality of food. Thanks to my friend Jerry who recommend this restaurant.

Service was nice. Room was very pleasant. Drinks very good but overpriced. My steak was cooked as ordered. Everything was good but the prices were too high. For me value is important and this place was not quite worth it.

$42 for not the 8 oz Filet but maybe 6 oz and potato chips. Potato chips! Dined here a few years ago and it was phenomenal. Will never dine here again.

If you are looking for a true Arizona experience this is a must do! everything they have here is locally made, even their Sake (who would've thought). My husband and I cam here for our 5th Anniversary and the chef recommended we do the tasting menu. He did not disappoint, well done! We tried a pasta, a trout, lamb, venison, a little bit of everything. He paired them with local wines and a sake, it just worked. I highly recommend this place for special occasions for unique local experience. Plus you are in Cave Creek, go to the Buffalo Chip for the bull riding after dinner...

WOW,WOW,WOW! We came here with friends and couldn't believe that this restaurant offers such an amazing dining experience. Every course had a beautiful presentation and the flavors for each dish were very well thought out. Our waitress Kara was extremely knowledgeable about each dish and had wine suggestions for each course that we ordered .She removed and replaced our dinnerware during each course which made the experience even more enjoyable. Will be returning soon to try their tasting menu!

Use to go to Tontos before we moved here (now live here) and before the new owners took over. Very disappointed now. The food was so good before and very different (more meat dishes); more of a menu. Now that the new owners took over (heard it was the chef from Tontos), its not quite as good and a very limited menu. We went 2 years ago for New Years and was very disappointed for food/portion and $. Happy hour is pretty good.

This restaurant has never been 5 star but it used to be a reliable meal with a great atmosphere. Now they seem to struggle with their identity. They still have a western feel but offer mediocre sushi, numerous odd dishes, and two choices of poor quality steaks. Salad choices were limited. The beet salad had little flavor and almost no cheese. Wife sent back her filet and the mushroom side was horrible. My ribeye was tough and potato side was very generic thick cut French fry. 2 stars due to our server being very nice and tried to make things right.

Each time I have Foodie guest in from out of town, I love bringing them to Cartwright’s. The chef creates the most magical delights with fresh and unique ingredients. Last night was another gastro success! Oh, and yes, we were the only patrons in costume on this chilly Halloween eve!
