Stopped in this afternoon. There were 3 people at the bar and no other customers. 3 employees never said anything they just continued on about their day. We could only take the propane/sewer smell for about 5 minutes so we left. We won't be back.

I don't usually like writing reviews. Matter of fact, I don't think I've wrote one in years, but I've been to heart and soul since the new owners took it over. They made it a not dog friendly place which that was a strike against them. I've had three meals at this establishment and all three meals were below. Par cold rubbery after I didn't eat the meal, the waitress never even asked me what was wrong. So one of two things either that a lot of people don't eat and she doesn't think that there's anything odd about it or they just don't care. But I did not ask for a refund. I just will not be not be patronizing this establishment again. To eat It seems that every owner that buys this place it just goes downhill further

Waited along time for food... bartender doing shots to try drinks..food was nasty and services was horriable.

Oct 9 2024 UPDATE: Decor/ Menu n staff have changed. They still have happy hour prices for well drinks but a well Chardonnay is $22 with $2 off for happy hr. That's more than Keller's Steakhouse n Private Clubs. For a proper wine by the glass. I won't be back.
2022: Nice lil Cafe / Bar Combo. Staff was Friendly and attentive. Nice menu. Had the Salmon Salad. Fresh crisp ingredients. Nicely prepared n presented. Bar side with more seating n Screens for games. Happy hr 11-6 $3 Drafts $4 wines easy location by Lil Miss Butcher off Carefree Highway n Black Mountain in Cave Creek AZ.

My girlfriend and I had an early dinner Saturday night at H&S we were very impressed with the service and food, If you have not been there lately, give them a try we Had a great experience

I hate writing negative reviews but it is time to do so with Heart and Soul. I am part of a Wednesday group that goes for breakfast each week around CC and Carefree. Heart and Soul has been part of the rotation. Virtually every time we go there has been a screw up with wrong pricing, wrong food or out of certain items, forgot to place an order, etc. Five guys with only four meals delivered. Always an issue here. This morning was the final straw. Got there right at 8 am and no one was seen inside and doors locked. Finally noticed a small sign that said go in the bar entrance. No one else in the place. Sat in the red car booth.
Floors were dirty from the day before. place settings thrown around on the tables and the place just did not look like it was ready to open for the day. Young man comes out to take our order and proceeds to tell us all the items we cannot have because they were out after we ordered. Waited close to 30 minutes to finally get the food and for the second time they did not make my order. Said it would take just a few minutes and one of our guys was already finished when mine finally came. Had to substitute blueberry pancakes for buckwheat because they were out. Took a bite and it tasted burnt. The whole bottom of the pancake was burnt. How did the cook think he was going to hide that? Pointed it out to the waiter who proceeded to tell us all the problems the restaurant was having and that is why no one else came to eat and they had a lot of staff turnover. I thought he was going to comp me or reduce the bill significantly but he charged $18 for a $15 meal and then gave me 20% off which basically brought it down to normal price. I pointed it out and he came back with the same $18 price and then discounted to $14. So meal came late, burnt pancake and I get a dollar off. Still tipped the waiter since the lateness and burnt pancake were not his fault. I wish I could say "three times you're out" but we gave them far more chances than that. The group decided to take Heart and Soul off our rotation permanently.
