We had been customers for many years. The ownership changed and the place went downhill. The restaurant is very dirty, the owner and some staff (not all) are very nasty, and the food went way down. The cook quit so the dishwasher became the cook. The owner does her daily shopping for the place at Walmart, so quality is bad. Its unfortunate that it had to happen, but when you own the place and barely show up, who's running it? The reason I gave it 5 stars for service is because of Cheryl. She's great and we miss her.

I am not sure how old this diner is but it appears to be a place frozen in time for many decades. The decor, the atmosphere, the menu and the old fashioned friendly service are reminiscent of an era of at least half a century ago. Just as it was in those old days, only cash is accepted so store away your credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay methods. The food is authentic for that period and comes in generous portions. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Check hours before going.

If it weren't for Cheryl, we would've stopped going there years ago. The place is a dump, food is not that good and they never have anything. I have to bring my own tea bags, syrup and oj. The owner, Sherri is a nasty person. She's rude to customers, and can't hire anyone that's not like her. (Cheryl is from before Sherri owned the diner). She shops at Walmart for her supplies. Ever had Walmart tea? It's bitter. They syrup tastes like sugar water, and the juice is terrible. The cooks quit a few months ago, she replaced them with the dishwasher. It's gone downhill from there. Don't go on Tuesday or Thursday, Friday because then you'll be treated to a super nasty server, Lisa. Oak must be rolling in her grave.

The food was okay, it was hard to watch some some health violations. No one wore gloves, soda machine must be broken because they were pouring soda out of bottles, ice was sitting in a bucket melting on the table. Refills were hard to come. Atleast a 30 min wait before food came out. Open jar of jelly sat on the counter the whole hour we were there. Dirty fan was set up facing the kitchen staff so can't imagine dirt not blowing in people food when it is hot. Cups smelled nasty. Food still on the floor. No sanitizing buckets for rags to be rinsed to clean tables. I watched a lady use her hand for ice instead of a scoop.

I hardly ever leave bad reviews but this was some of the worst service I’ve had in my life. Food was mediocre.I waited over 25 minutes to receive my bill just for the passive aggressive waitress to tell me she only accepts cash. She didn’t check on me or my food not once. She didn’t bring my any water which I was sooo thirsty. After 25 minutes maybe longer she brought me my bill and I said I’m ready to pay and she just walked away. Didn’t give me change or anything, just utterly disrespectful, & no sense of communication at all. Very disappointed and terrible way to start my morning. I will never be back. ??Salt & Pepper haired lady.

We had a 1 hour golf delay and found Oaks across from the gas station. Cash only and short-handed we had the BESTzheavios rancheros They were fast and delicious. The hash browns were perfect too. Highly recommend before or after golf!!

Had a very basic breakfast - scrambled egg, bacon toast hash browns. All food was cold and completely tasteless. Hash browns were uncooked and not edible.

This place has gone in the crapper, since the new owner has taken over! Wow, this place has been our families Sunday morning go to for years and now we are done. Food is cold, takes over hour to get served, understaffed and owner sees it first hand and makes no changes. Go somewhere else, it is a complete waste. To the owner, sell sell sell! Let someone else take Oaks back to its status of good food and service!!!!!!!
