Waited 70 minutes from ordering food to our cook coming out. Every table seemed to be in the same situation

wasn't very impressed with the chef and not very good food because it's too salty

Not one to complain but our reservations were at 8pm, we were seated at 8:50pm and didn't get our soup/salad until around 9:20pm. We ordered sushi rolls that never came out. It also took about 35 minutes to get the cocktail that I ordered when we sat down. Food unfortunately was mainly burnt.

I have been coming to this location for years. As of recent have stopped due to low quality of service and quality of food. It is my birthday month and decided to give it a try to use the birthday certificate. Server was terrible and not timely. It was fairly busy which I understand but while other servers were making it around to their tables as they could, ours was nowhere to even be found to refill drinks or even see if we would like anything else. Our food did not start to be cooked until at least an hour after we ordered. We finally finished our food and the table waited about 20 minutes after being done for her to come by, she never did then eventually someone at our table had to go ask another server to have her come by. Service used to be impeccable and this latest experience proved to me why we have stopped going to this location. Save your money and go somewhere else.

New management. Best time, service, food we've ever had here... and we've been coming here for years!

I called to see if I should make a reservation yesterday 01.09.2025. The female that answered said it was recommended and transferred me and the man said oh no it is not necessary I advised I would be there in 45 minutes in that case and asked are you sure. I get there and was advised 20-30 min wait time and I was ok with that but wish the gentleman would have taken my reservation down as I arrived about 6:23 pm and was put in the system according to the text message received at 6:27 p.m. at approximately 7:15 pm I get up and ask how much longer because they sat some people I saw clearly came in after me. The girl said they had a reservation at 6:30 and that’s why they were seated but they didn’t get there until after 7P.M. Finally being seated just before 8PM the table area was so cold and the temperature outside was in the 50’s or just below, I could not enjoy or eat my meal. The chef and the waitress were good but this location for dining experience gets a ZERO but you can only choose 1 star. When you spend close to $200 for two people the dining experience should be comfortable.

Juan was our chef today, and was the best chef we’ve ever had at Benihana. Keep in mind we come about once a month and have been coming for years. Not only did it taste delicious, but he had every part of the show fully incorporated, and also was VERY organized in his cooking. The OCD in me was very satisfied.

Enjoyed our chef Dominic he was entertaining, funny and catered to adults and kids equally.
Only thing Benihana continue to fail at is timing on reservations. Even with one you wait and this time wasn’t as bad as other times but needs work.

Dominic is the best table chef to this day I’ve had. He’s an eggcelent chef and is so much fun, definitely made the experience 2x better.

This place used to be our go-to weekend spot, but recently, the quality and service have taken a nosedive. Our reservation was at 6:30 PM, but we weren’t seated until almost 7:30 PM.

Honestly, you might get better service at McDonald's. I’d recommend either visiting their Scottsdale location or avoiding this establishment altogether when in Arizona.

Chef Hong did at most 3 "tricks", they no longer devein the shrimp, and the food is overcooked. The rice was burnt and crunchy. If it weren't for the ginger and mustard sauce, I wouldn’t have been able to eat anything on my plate.

The service was abysmal—I'd rate it -9/10. I had to go to the hostess stand for every request, like napkins and drinks. The waiter never asked if we wanted a refill, and when I asked for service, she responded, "go find a boy to help you."

At the end of the meal I requested the ice cream that comes with the meal, and the waiter served it in to-go containers without any spoons. I had to ask someone else for a cup of green tea, which was also served in a to-go plastic kiddie container. My wife burned her hand trying to hold the cup because the tea was scalding hot in a thin plastic cup.

For the price of $196 for two adult meals and one kids' meal, without any appetizers, this experience was definitely not worth it.

Take your family somewhere else

My Benihana’s food experience was good. They skimpy on the chicken into the fried rice and with the eggs. For the price they charge they need to put enough eggs and chicken with your fried rice to make it a quality meal for each individual.
