7/25 The burrito was good but had a slight taste of tap water. Not sure if it's how they made the potatoes but overall the burrito was pretty good. The only issue I really ran into was a girl at the counter. I was ordering my food and just as I was finishing ordering my food she grabbed the tip can and pushed it right in front of my face. She literally shoved the can across the counter and put it right in front of me, in front of the register. It was almost comical because I've never had anyone literally shove it in front of my face before. I wasnt even done with the order. I was using a card so my tip went on my card. I understand wanting tips, but to shove it in front of customers face before even fully finishing an order was crazy. Not sure where she got the idea that would make people tip. I'm sure it makes some people feel very uncomfortable and forced to tip. It is up to the customer to decide if they want to tip, which I did. But to practically shove the can to my face really isn't the way to go. She saw I was paying with the card. That was a bit much. There was another girl there that actually took over for her while she stood there. The other gir,l which I believe was a manager, was very helpful and very professional. She may want to teach her employee about customer tipping. Demanding a tip while still ordering was very unprofessional and uncalled for considering I was using a debit card and had already planned on tipping, and did tip. Hopefully she gets a little bit more training about business etiquette. But again the manager was great and very helpful in getting my app set up and just being friendly in general.

1 star for their A.I. phone answering service! I love burrito express, but I didnt get my rice & beans with my order. I didn't notice till I got home so I tried calling 4 times. Each time their automated robot person asks me 21 questions and then hangs up instead of transferring you to a real person at the store. I live too far away to drive back over some beans.. I guess I'll just eat the loss! Would have been nice to speak to a real person. Burrito express I know youre really busy, but youre not 'automated phone service' busy. Fix your phones please.

This used to be one of the top locations across the valley, however theyāve been falling short recently, and today was my worst experience with them yet. I ordered a breakfast supreme (make it spicy) with rice & beans combo; they either gave me a chicken supreme OR (according to the restaurant) they put green chile sauce in it, and the green chile sauce has āmeatā in itā¦ either way, it was extremely off-putting and not what I ordered. I took it back & they threw away both my receipt and my combination platter, only returning the burrito after remaking it. Guess what? Still wasnāt done correctly!!! So not only did I waste money by ordering a combo just for them to throw it away & toss my proof of purchase with it, they charged me extra for the green chile sauce that I didnāt order & still didnāt fix the problem with my burrito!

The kid taking orders up front, I believe his name is Dayton, was on his phone when we went up to order. He didn't even notice we were up there for a second. Then my boyfriend went to check on our order and the kid gave him attitude. He needs to be better trained.

I get the Breakfast Supreme burrito and it's pretty consistent. You know how you can't tell if some places uses the pre-mixed egg blend? Not this place. Cut your burrito in half and you can see the egg looking like it just fell out of the hen! The burritos here are never greasy which is always a bonus. I gotta be honest and admit that you can definitely get more burrito for the same price at other places but you won't be getting ripped off here. It's a solid burrito with quality ingredients. I definitely enjoy their breakfast burritos!
It can be warm inside though so take your food to-go.

I think this location must have changed hands recently. I've been coming here almost every week for years, same cook and kitchen staff. Last two times I've come I noticed all the staff have been replaced and the burritos suck. I had unmelted/cold shredded cheese in the middle of my breakfast burrito, both times. I bit into a large chunk of onion, this burrito doesn't have onion. My son ordered the steak burrito and had two bites of something crunchy in the middle, left over bacon from my burrito maybe? Maybe they need to at least scrape out the pans between burritos?! Also they no longer have large drinks, just one rather small size AND three of the sodas were "out of order", but they didn't bother telling us that when we ordered.

I've been coming to Burrito Express since they were by the Target shopping center in Chandler (20 yrs easy) I went in today to grab a quick burrito to go and a drink in Chandler. The kid behind the counter couldn't care less!!! I was the only one in line as he seemed surprised after noticing me after standing there 5 min. Important baseball talk going on you know. Gave me a small drink when i asked for large, I think they were out but could have explained that. Tossed my food at me on the counter. Didn't ask what salsa I wanted just threw it in the bag. I'm glad he got back to talking about baseball with the cook. Very disappointing because I love this place.
